Today, we are retiring a true legend of our football program. 🐾

For over two decades, Brutus has stood as the ultimate symbol of our home turf—a daily reminder to every player who walked past that "nothing is given, everything is earned." Brutus oversaw the transition from the Claiborne County High School Blue Devils to the Claiborne High School Bulldogs in 2003.

Brutus sat atop the memorial for Coach Ernie Whitaker. Coach Whitaker's dedication, leadership, and spirit built the very foundation of our Bulldog family, and Brutus embodied that same relentless grit.
They stood watch over every practice and every Friday night battle. Brutus’s watch may be over, but his legacy will never leave this field.

Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog. 🏈💙

(P.S. Keep an eye out... Brutus II is currently being trained and will be ready to defend the turf by this fall! 👀🐾)
