There are so many “ifs” in life, but if you never try, you will never know…

If I never stepped foot into back in 2013, I wouldn’t have found the love I have for and received my L1 certification.

If I never moved to Nicaragua in 2014, I wouldn’t have started GetFit Nicaragua and found my true passion for coaching and training. And I wouldn’t have met my future coach and mentor Andrew at

If I never moved to Colorado in 2017, I wouldn’t have realized the beauty in the world by getting exercise outside of a gym. You get it through exploring outdoors and trying new things like snowboarding, hiking, bouldering, white water rafting, climbing, trail running, bicycling, walking and adventureing. All while being humbled constantly by losing your breath by just going up a couple stairs and people double your age being able to do everything better than you 🤣

If I never attempted to get back into Crossfit (after COVID and taking a year off). I would have never met some of the most supportive and motivating group of people.

If I never decided to get a membership at because I was interested in the health and healing benefits of cold plunging, I would have never met some of the most welcoming, empowering and inspiring people. Without PureFit, I wouldn’t have began my own lifestyle transformation.

If I wouldn’t of realized I was at the point where I needed accountability because I couldn’t find the motivation on my own, I would of never had Andrew as my mentor and started

5 SECRET Superfoods for weight loss ✨

Get ready to rev up your metabolism and torch fat with these secret superfoods you can easily add to your every day diet.

1. Fatty Fish: Such as tuna or salmon filets are not only high in protein, but high in Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA). Their protein content is essential for muscle growth and repair.

2. Green Tea: Though it is not technically a “food”, green tea has MULTIPLE benefits. Green tea is linked to improved heart and cardiovascular health, anti-aging and even beneficial for skin health. Green tea is full of antioxidants, Vitamin C & E and L-theanine (which promotes relation, reduces stress and improves focus).

3. Spices: Such a turmeric and cayenne. Both improve circulation, cardiovascular health and reduce inflammation; all while reducing bloating and adding anti-cancer properties to your body.

4. Cottage Cheese: For protein, bone health and even needed probiotics. Being a fermented food, it contains bacteria that can help support gut health and boost the immune system.

5. Dark Chocolate... YUM! Can assist in lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow which means it is good for your heart health. Being rich in fiver, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese and other minerals. Dark chocolate can even improve your mood and reduce stress due to the polyphenolic compounds.

Ultimate Recovery Day Checklist

Let’s face it, we’ve all had those days where we feel drained, sore and just plain exhausted. Whether it’s from a tough workout, a long week, or just life in general, but we all need a little R&R sometimes. 

Skipping recovery days can lead to fatigue, injury, burnout and even plateaus. But with regularly scheduled recovery days, you’ll experience improved performance, increased strength, reduced muscle soreness and enhanced mental clarity.

Below is my list of the Ultimate Recovery Day Checklist to ensure you do not skip your rest day. Follow these simple steps to help your body and mind recover, recharge and feel ready to take on the world again.

1⃣ Rest: Take a break from intense activities and allow your body time to recover. No alarms, no rush!

2⃣ Hydrate: Drink plenty of water and electrolyte-rich drinks to replenish what you’ve lost.

3⃣ Self-care: Take a relaxing bath, give yourself a massage, or read a book. You deserve it!

4⃣ Nourish & Refuel: Fuel your body with healthy, comforting foods. Consume a balanced meal or snack with carbohydrates and protein to replenish energy stores and support muscle repair.

5⃣ Active Recovery: Engage in low-intensity activities like yoga, walking, or light cardio to promote blood flow, recovery and to loose up those muscles.

6⃣ Breathe: Take a few minutes to focus on your breath, relax, and let go of any tension.
