Search & Rescue recovery for missing/endangered people.
I’m not sure why I didn’t think of this sooner with my background in military and law enforcement service but, SPREAD THE WORD! Tell your cop friends! We are officially offering our volunteer services to respond horseback in efforts to find those missing, last known to be on foot, in heavily wooded or vast areas.
Why call me?
I was a detective for almost seven years, a civilian police officer for over ten and a military police officer for four years. I understand the rapid need for response and time sensitive recovery for missing people, especially those who are vulnerable (elderly, special diagnoses, mentally unstable, etc.).
I understand thorough searches for people and evidence & I understand the importance of preserving evidence. I am also trained and comfortable in de-escalation techniques and life saving first aid via TCCC.
Our horses are desensitized to gun fire, the dark, police K9’s, lights & sirens, crowds, and more.
I am in the process of sharing this volunteer service with surrounding agencies but, social media is such a powerful tool! Share! Inform! And keep us in mind for situations where manpower is short, the terrain is dense, and a horse could help!
