Join us on Sunday, September 6th at 9:00 AM for our Couples Club Tournament!

This will be a 2-Person Modified Alternate Shot format:
🏌️ Each player tees off, choose the best shot of the two
🏌️ Alternate shots until you reach the green
🏌️ Once on the green, play Best Shot until the ball is holed

Cost: $20 per couple

What a great time with Edmundson and the start of a new tradition! Congratulations to our golfers for bringing home the win and a huge THANK YOU to Matt at Edmundson for helping put on this event for our two courses. We can’t wait for next year! See you then!

This is a great article highlighting the tough spring that our course—and many other courses—experienced this year.

Our grounds crew has done a fantastic job getting the greens back to a good place as we head into the fall. There are still a few spots around the collars that will need to be reseeded, and that work is already part of our plan for this fall.

It was a challenging year for golf courses, and we’re incredibly grateful for the hard work our grounds crew has put in to keep Prairie Knolls in great shape. If you see our staff out on the course, make sure to give them a big THANK YOU! I know they’ll appreciate it!

A Challenging Year for Golf Course Superintendents

There is a high likelihood you have noticed golf courses have been under more stress than normal this year. We are lucky to have Dr. Adam Thoms, Associate Professor – Turfgrass Management and Sports Turf from Iowa State University help shed some light on what our golf course superintendents have been dealing with.

Fall Hours & Specials 🍂⛳

As we approach fall, our hours will be changing beginning Tuesday, September 8th! Please note that hours are subject to change based on weather, scheduled events, and staff availability.

We’re also excited to announce our Fall Twilight Special!

Weekdays Only — Open to Close
🏌️ 9 holes with a cart — $20
🏌️ Play as many holes as you wish — $30

Friday, September 4th – Monday, September 7th

The 10-mile radius will be waived during the entire Labor Day Weekend!

Please Note: The course will be closed on Sunday, September 6th until our Couples Club Tournament is completed.

REMINDER, MEN’S LEAGUE GOLFERS!

The final week of Men’s League is this Thursday, August 27th! Following your match, stick around and enjoy a FREE hamburger/hotdog meal on us! 🌭🍔

We’ll also have a sign-up available for our Fall Men’s League, which kicks off Thursday, September 3rd. If you’re interested in playing this fall, be sure to get signed up!

Join us this coming Sunday, August 23rd at 4:00pm for our third Couples Night of the year! Instead of having a prepared meal for this event, we will be doing a potluck style meal. To sign up to play and for food, please see us in the clubhouse! We look forward to seeing you out here!

This year’s format will be a 4-Person Best Shot/Scramble Bucket Tournament with 8" cups — always a fun one!
