With burn season coming to an end on May 1, we were able to utilize the weather today and clear a lot of brush on fairways of Hole 7, 6 & landing zone of 9. While we are not officially open if anyone is interested in playing the front 9 message us to schedule a date and time. Homemade signs for walkways getting made for easy maneuver around the course! 

We want everyone to enjoy their time playing here. One aspect to that is having good flow and not having to slow down to look for the next tee pad. Signs, boardwalks & wood chips will all help with the direction of play & where you move to next!

Clearing fairways of down logs & putting them to use!
Firewood & Lumber mainly. All of the rough cut lumber used on the tee pads, boardwalks & throughout the course is sourced through us. Having a brother with a sawmill helps a lot!

Was able to start the boardwalk on hole 7. Makes it easy to cruise through from the tee pad to C2/C1 of the basket. Hole 7 is a shorter hole, but planing on having these boardwalks at a few different locations on the course. Brush piles pictured will be burned once it’s January 15th (legal burn season) & wood chips eventually spread on fairway.

Shout out to Garrett for mowing the woods line of hole 5 tonight while Booie & Matt cleaned up the fairways of hole 1, 5 & 18 picking up down brush & making burn piles for this Winter. Hole 5 is a backhand turnover or forehand shot coming out of the woods. Fairway opens up to a nice mowed green and then basket is placed back in the woods. One of the longer holes for the course and basket placement is still being decided as par will be either a 4 or 5.

The rates in bio are for when course is open as a full 18 hole course. Once 9 holes is open, we will post more information. Hessian Hills is a challenging but enjoyable course, with picturesque views. Located on a historical part of town where during the Revolutionary War 1000 British & Hessian prisoners of war soldiers were marched from Saratoga, New York to Boston. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable disc golfing experience, with an emphasis on maintaining fairways & OBs because we believe in no disc left behind. Updates, information & sneak peaks of the course will be posted in the meantime as we finish up getting 9 holes open. Thanks to everyone for your support & patience. Looking forward to sharing our work & this beautiful property to all fellow disc golfers, Western MA and beyond! 😊🥏⛓️
