Cedar Lake Arena—Scorching Saturday Series—Double Show!

4 R-Box Blue Plate Karts Checked In!

Heat 1: P1 to P4
Feature: P4 to P1 🥇🏆🏁
Re*****on lead the heat until he spun on the last lap, due to the kart being loose. That gave him a 4th place start in the feature. Fortunately, the crew chief had the kart dialed in and Rem was able to take the checkers in the 12 lap feature!!!

Today was one show right after another, and the Demon was set up just right for the second set of races, as Rem had a clean sweep!! 🧹🏁

Next up, another try at BP—at the Little O at Ogilvie Raceway on Tuesday!!

The wheelman and crew chief are out at Cedar Lake for the double show today! Re*****on will be racing in the Blue Plate class! Give them some good luck in the comments and pray for safe racing! 🙏

Update on the BP frame—Demon Racing Chassis is getting us a new one as soon as possible, and Nick has straightened the one that bent the best he could. We plan to run it on Tuesday at Ogilvie and see how it goes!

Well, there’s a first time for everything. A few laps into Rem’s first heat, he got a little too high and hit these tires (see pic) next to the track. 😣😭 He wasn’t able to finish any other races the rest of the night, as our frame is bent. Ugh! 😩 Rem was not hurt, and was off playing minutes after it happened—thankfully! He was planning to just run BP tonight, as they don’t have Blue Plate at the Little O at Ogilvie Raceway.

Day #2 of the All American Shootout at Atwater Karting Speedway!

Blue Plate—6 karts checked in!
Heat: P4 to P2 🥈
Feature: Rained Out 🌧️

BP—12 karts checked in!
Heat: P1 to P3 🥉
Feature: Rained Out 🌧️

Rem did a great job in Blue Plate, laying down the fastest lap in the heat. He would have started the feature outside pole, but rain put an end to that!

In BP, Rem was bummed to start on the pole (crappy pill draw—no passing points when you start pole), and fell back to 3rd. The kart was tight and it hurt his speed. This put him in a 5th place spot for the feature, but it was also rained out!

The driver and Dad will continue to communicate and work together to get the fastest karts out there! 💨

We are unsure of our plans next weekend, as the crew chief said he does need to work ! 🤪 The features that were rained out today will be completed on June 13th!

We may not have won, but this was definitely a highlight of my night. 🥲 Rem starting on the pole for his first ever BP feature— at 8 years old—at the “All American Showdown” and getting to be a part of the salute! 🇺🇸 🏁❤️
