Day #2 of the AJC Mid America Series at University Plains Speedway

BP—7 karts checked in!
Qualifying: 3rd🥉
Heat: P3 to P3 🥉
Feature: P3 to P3🥉

We were a 3rd place kart in BP today! Nothing crazy to report, other than Rem finished where he started! He did move up to 2nd until lap 12, and that’s where he stayed. Dad tried some things to dial it in for the feature, and we just weren’t on.

Blue Plate—4 karts checked in!
Qualifying: QUICKTIME 💨 🥇
Heat: P1 to P2 🥈
Feature: P2 to P2 🥈

Rem had a fast kart in qualifying, but was off in the heat and feature. He fell back to 3rd for the first two laps, held onto 2nd, and even lead one lap, but then ended up back where he started.

Overall, it was a great weekend with a ton of seat time—nearly 200 laps 😱 on a HUGE, racy, and smooth track—tons of passing and good racing—thank you to everyone at University Plains Speedway for that!!!

We left for home feeling happy about the weekend, can’t complain about a Top 5 finish, podium finishes, and even a win in BP!

Congrats to our fellow Demon Drivers on their wins this weekend—Jack Kanten, Ledger Kanten, and Jace Frericks! 🏁🏁🏁

Day #1 of the AJC Mid America Series at University Plains Speedway!

Results—

BP—11 karts checked in!
Qualifying: 3rd 🥉
Heat: P2 to P1 🏁🥇
Feature: P3 to P1 🥇🏁🏆

Re*****on qualified 3rd, which was awesome, as he has never qualified at this track before. This gave him a 2nd place start for the heat, which would then determine his spot for the 15 lap feature. Rem won his heat, and got himself a 3rd place start for the feature. Feature time came and he passed for 2nd quickly, then worked his way to 1st on lap 3, he had a little battle on lap 6/7, but after that, he held onto 1st, taking the checkers, securing his FIRST BP WING FEATURE WIN in his DRE powered Demon Racing Chassis! 🏁 His face after his win said it all!!! 🥲❤️🏁

*MRP currently shows he took 2nd, he did, indeed, win, and we will get that fixed with the officials soon! 🤗

BP Ironman—10 karts checked in!
Heat: P5 to P1 🏁🥇
Feature: P2 to P5

Driver error and missing the setup hurt us in the 40 lap Ironman feature! Still, it was a great race to watch, with lots of passing, and it was exciting to go out on the track after lap 20 and make some adjustments! Congrats to Ryker Lopez-Beck on your dominating win!!! 👏🏽🏁

Blue Plate—6 karts checked in!
Qualifying: QUICKTIME 💨 🥇
Heat: P1 to P3 🥉
Feature: P3 to P1 🥇🏁🏆

Re*****on did a great job qualifying, which put him on the pole position for the heat. Unfortunately, he went backwards two spots in the heat, so he started 3rd for the 15 lap feature. The feature was a good one. He fell back to 4th, moved back up to 3rd, then up to 2nd, lead one lap, and then was back to 2nd again. On lap 12 he passed for 1st and was able to win the race!

A solid day of racing, and we couldn’t be more proud of how Re*****on has handled moving up to the Blue Plate and BP class! I told Nick, if he takes top 5 in BP the rest of the year, that’s a win to me—and Rem goes and wins his first feature! 😅 We know this is a tough class and the wins won’t come as easy, but we will hold onto the high moments!

Full race day recap coming soon… but had to share…

🏁🌟 The Smooth R picked up his FIRST FEATURE BP WIN in his DRE powered Demon Racing Chassis today at University Plains Speedway for the AJC Mid America Series!!!🌟🏁

He was up against 9 other karts, started 3rd and was able to pass for first on lap three, had a little battle on lap 6/7, and then took the lead again and brought it home! 🏁👏🏽

Little O at Ogilvie Raceway—Results!

Heat 1: P6 to P4
Heat 2: P1 to P6
Feature: P9 to P4

In heat one Re*****on was able to pass a couple karts and take 4th place. Heat two wasn’t too great, the kart was loose, and Rem looped it a couple times and was sent to the back. This put him in 9th place for the 8 lap feature. Feature time came and the crew chief and driver had a conversation about how the kart was handling and made some adjustments. The changes helped and Rem was able to move up 5 spots! Hard charger! He got a lot done in the few laps he had to work with!

Congrats to fellow Demon drivers Tanner of WLJT Motorsports and Thomas of Follmer Motorsports on your wins tonight!! 👏🏽🏁👏🏽🏁 You guys rock!!!

Weekend Recap at Atwater Karting Speedway! 🏁

First, Re*****on finished two features from a couple weekends ago (they had rained out).

He finished 1st in Blue Plate—sweeping the class for that night and securing his fourth Blue Plate win in his DRE powered Demon Racing Chassis! 🥇🏁

He finished 5th in the BP class!

Now for the results of the Tasha Fester Memorial Race! 💙💜💚

Blue Plate—8 karts checked in!
Heat: P2 to P1 🥇🏁
Feature: P2 to P2 🥈
Congrats to Aubree Wendorff Racing on your win! Rem and Aubree had a good battle in this class!

BP—19 karts checked in!
Heat: P4 to P5
B- Feature: P3 to P3

Rem had some good speed in the heat, but when he tried to pass in a corner, he spun on his own, and was sent to the tail. He wheeled it back up to 5th, but unfortunately did not secure a spot in the big show.

In the B-Feature, Rem kept his place at 3rd and did not get to transfer into the A-main. Not what we were hoping for, but that’s the way it goes sometimes!
