Reds Force Game 3! Championship Sunday

Win-or-go-home, and the Reds delivered — shutting out the 908 Panthers 6-0, their second shutout in two days, to force a winner-take-all championship game this Sunday.

A day after blanking the NJ Mariners 10-0, the Reds avenged last week's loss to the Panthers behind a 3-run 3rd, an MVP Rob Grasso homer, and two more runs off a throwing error. Two-time Cy Young winner Michael Pierce was dominant on the mound: 8 shutout innings, 1 hit, 12 K's.

🏆 First pitch Sunday, 12:30 PM at JP Stevens High School in Edison, with the NJABL Summer North Championship on the line — Reds and Panthers are 2-2 head-to-head.

The #1 Reds are 1 game away from claiming back-to-back NJABL Championships!
We play this Sunday, Aug. 23 at 12:30pm at J.P Stevens High School in Edison against the #2 908 Panthers. The Reds 6-0 win over the Panthers this past Sunday has set up a winner takes all final. Throughout the regular/post season, the Reds and Panthers are 2-2 against each other, giving each other their only 2 losses.
Regular Season: 1-2 (Panthers), 18-8 (Reds)
Post Season: 1-3 (Panthers), 6-0 (Reds)

On Sunday, our longest tenured Red, SS Matthew Nesto had a basehit up the middle for the 200th hit of his Reds New Jersey Amateur Baseball League career ⚾️

The #1 Reds force a winner take all next Sunday vs the #2 Panthers. Michael Pierce got the W on the mound tossing 8 scoreless with 12 K. Ryan Grill finished off the 6-0 contest. Rob Grasso launched a solo shot, his 4th of the summer ⚾️

The #1 Reds are heading back to the NJABL Championship! We play tomorrow (Sunday, Aug. 16) at 12pm at Weequahic Park in Newark against the #2 908 Panthers. The Reds need to win tomorrow to force a winner take all the following Sunday.

The #1 Reds punched their ticket to Championship after toppling the #4 Mariners 10-0 at Oakwood. Caden Breault tossed 5 shut with 12 Ks for the W and Devin Cumiskey finished the final 2 frames to maintain the shutout. Christian Benward laced the walkoff hit for the mercy victory.
