We had a great first weekend of the State Tournament here in New Prague. Around 2,000 fans attended games that featured 16 teams from across the state. We expect even bigger crowds this weekend with more teams from the area competing. We are looking for help in the food tent and concession stand on Saturday and Sunday.

O’s slip past New York Mills in round one of the state tournament 4-1. Gavin Bergman winning pitcher, also hits 3 run homerun. Eric Wagner big RBI single. Matt Zweber picks up the save.

Anybody looking to get the shirts they ordered can stop by the ballpark before the game this morning. Tracy Prochaska will have them.

Just 2 days away from the start of the 103rd state tournament. Here is our last throw back before the tournament, 2017 when the O’s placed 3rd with wins over Watkins, Chokio, Sobieski and Jordan before falling to Lake Henry in the final four.

As always we still have opportunities to volunteer which is much appreciated.

The Oriole state T-shirts are in. Nick Schoenecker will be at the field from 6:00-7:30 tonight, Tuesday and also tomorrow from 6:00-8:00 if you want to stop by and pick them up. Tomorrow night we will be setting up tents and everything else so you may have to park on the street or at the golf course and walk over as it will be busy.

Another throw back. This one from 2013 when the Orioles defeated Springfield and Plato before falling to Jordan in a game that started in August and ended in September.
Volunteer spots for the state tournament are filling up but we can still use more help.
