The WJER Subway Player of the Game in New Philadelphia’s 35-10 win at Ashland to open OCC play is SR Kolston Fox. Kolston had 210 yards rushing in the game with over 170 coming in the 2nd half with 2 TD’s.

QUAKERS WIN! QUAKERS WIN! The Quakers were down 10-0 early at Ashland before unleashing a dominating rushing attack through the final three quarters. Kohlston Fox ran for more than 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Caleb Crowthers had more than 100 yards rushing and 2 TDs as the Quakers rolled to a 35-10 win tonight. New Phila is now 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference, and hosts Mansfield Senior next Friday.

NPHS Girls Tennis played a Friday night match with some great competition against GlenOak, ending the night with a 1-4 loss.

Gaining the win for the team was Jordan Cheng playing 2nd doubles (6-2,6-3).

Other competitors included 1st singles Samantha Johnson (1-6,2-6), 3rd singles Sofie Johnson (2-6,0-6), 1st doubles Anna Wherley and Kate Stogsdill (6-7,3-6) and 2nd doubles sister duo Olivia and Maddie Alexander (4-6,4-6).

The team is 6-7 on the season.
