In 2008 after some hard times, the shop reluctantly closed its doors. In 2009 pursuing his passion for woodworking, Sam opened Sam’s Custom Woodworking; where he specialized in quality, handcrafted furniture and cabinetry. In 2012 Sam combined his love for skateboarding and woodworking, to form the rebirth Life Skateboards with a new concept – handcrafted, artful skateboards; pressed, designed, an

d hand-shaped right here in Muncie. Sam is happy to serve the local and not so local communities with a unique product crafted with love.

Specs on paper don’t always translate to real life. We typically let our work speak for itself, but sometimes the contrast is so stark that it’s worth giving a visual comparison. Both of these boards have basically the same specs on paper, but one is dull and lifeless & the other is full of LIFE!
