Thunder Almost Erases 6-Run Deficit in Loss to Cubs

Despite seeing its six-run lead whittled down by the end, Cubs still held off Thunder for a 7-5 victory on Wednesday. Thunder put up five runs in the failed comeback. Hough, Casique, Hough, and Kelly all picked up RBI's in the rally.

Cubs earned the victory despite allowing Thunder to score four runs in the seventh inning. Thunder's big inning was driven by singles by Hough and Kelly and a sac fly by Casique.

In the first inning, Cubs got their offense started when Inglis singled on a 21 count, scoring one run.

Hicks got the win for Cubs. Hicks lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero. Johnson and Wetter entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief, Johnson recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Cubs.

Lynch took the loss for Thunder. Lynch surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings, striking out one.

Cubs totaled ten hits in the game. Clark and Wetter each collected multiple hits for Cubs. Wetter and Clark all had two hits to lead Cubs. Inglis led Cubs with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.

Thunder racked up ten hits in the game. Mates, Hough, and Casique each had multiple hits for Thunder.

Late Score Costs Cubs Against Rangers

The Cubs lost the lead late in a 12 to 8 defeat to the Rangers on Tuesday. The game was tied at 8 with the Rangers batting in the bottom of the fifth scoring one run.

The Cubs collected 10 hits and the Rangers had 9 in the high scoring affair.

In the first inning the Cubs got their offense started. The Cubs scored 2 runs when Hicks singled.

Johnson took the loss for the Cubs. He allowed 7 hits and 5 runs over 4 and a third innings, striking out 3 and walking one. Eliason started the game for the Cubs and lasted one and one third innings, allowing 2 hits and 6 runs while striking out one and walking one.

Hicks led the Cubs with 2 hits in 3 at bats.

The Cubs Lose Early Lead in Defeat

The Cubs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10 to nothing lost to the Reds on Wednesday. The Reds scored on a single by Pickering and a fielder's choice by Hanlon in the first inning.

The Cubs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Reds, giving up 10 runs.

One bright spot for the Cubs was a single by Hicks in the first inning. Hicks led the Cubs with 2 hits in 3 at bats.

Eliason took the loss for the Cubs. He surrendered 3 runs on 5 hits over 4 innings, striking out 4 and walking one.

Patriots Almost Erases 6-Run Deficit In Loss To Cubs

Cubs built a six-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Patriots's charge for a 13-11 victory on Wednesday. Patriots tallied six runs in the failed comeback. R. Doll, Vernon, Golden, Doll, Russel, and Doll picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

Cubs collected 15 hits and Patriots had nine in the high-scoring affair.

Cubs took an early lead in the second inning. Phil Covin grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Patriots tied things up at five. Patriots scored one run when Williams singled.

Cubs took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Covin's sac fly scored one run for Cubs, Joe Potchanant singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Eric Eliason singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Gene Kubacki singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Patriots scored four runs in the sixth inning. Patriots batters contributing to the big inning included Vernon, Golden, Doll, and Russel, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Covin pitched Cubs to victory. He allowed two hits and four runs over two innings, striking out one. Michael Schuyler threw six innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Cubs tallied 15 hits on the day. Stacy Clark, Steve Hicks, Joseph Burleson, and Schuyler each collected multiple hits for Cubs. Clark led Cubs with three hits in three at bats. Cubs stole 15 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Adam Young led the way with three.

Patriots racked up nine hits in the game. Staten, Brady, and Williams each racked up multiple hits for Patriots. Golden led Patriots with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.

Cubs Blows Out River Dogs!

The Cubs coasted to an easy victory over the River Dogs 10-2 on Wednesday.

The Cubs notched four runs in the third inning. Steve Hicks, Timothy Tolbert, and Brian Johnson powered the big inning with RBIs.

Tolbert took the win for the Cubs. He allowed seven hits and two runs over six innings, striking out one.

Bertsh took the loss for the River Dogs. He went five innings, allowing ten runs on ten hits and striking out two.

The Cubs saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Johnson and Tolbert each managed multiple hits for the Cubs. Johnson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Cubs in hits.

The Cubs stole 13 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Johnson led the way with five. The Cubs didn't commit a single error in the field. Hicks had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

River Dogs had seven hits in the game. Powell and Bertsh all collected multiple hits for River Dogs.

Cubs Can't Hold Up Against Titans

Cubs struggled to get their offense going on Tuesday, getting easily dispatched by Titans, 16-4.

Cubs opened up scoring in the second inning, when Michael Schuyler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Titans pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Goodposter hit a solo homer, Hendrix singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Rogan singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for Titans.

Titans scored six runs in the fifth inning. Titans's big inning was driven by a walk by Rogan, a single by Crens, a home run by Draper, and a groundout by Branson.

Timothy Tolbert was on the hill for Cubs. He lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs. Schuyler and Brian Johnson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.

Tolbert started the game for Cubs. He went three innings, allowing two runs on three hits.

Titans smacked four home runs on the day. Smith went yard in the third inning. Broughton had a four bagger in the seventh inning. Goodposter had a dinger in the fourth inning. Draper went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

Cubs tallied eight hits on the day. Brian Campassi and Miguel Cordero all had multiple hits for Cubs. Cordero and Campassi each managed two hits to lead Cubs.

Titans tallied 14 hits in the game. Draper, Hendrix, Broughton, Crens, and Rogan each racked up multiple hits for Titans.

Rangers Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Cubs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 27-5 loss to Rangers on Tuesday. Rangers scored on a triple by Bustie in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Mertl in the first inning, a error in the first inning, and a double by Thompson in the second inning.

The Cubs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Rangers, giving up 27 runs.

Rangers got on the board in the first inning. Bustie tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Cubs tallied four runs in the fifth inning. Cubs big bats were led by Joseph Burleson and Steve Hicks, who all drove in runs.

Rangers scored nine runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Rangers was led by Thompson, Noel, Harms, Bustie, Mertl, and Ingram, all driving in runs in the inning.
Timothy Tolbert was on the pitcher's mound for Cubs. He surrendered six runs on five hits over three innings. Tom Wooldridge, Joe Potchanant, and Michael Schuyler each contributed in relief for Cubs.

Rangers hit one home run on the day. Alberts went deep in the fifth inning.

Cubs tallied nine hits in the game. Hicks and Burleson each racked up multiple hits for Cubs. Burleson and Hicks all had two hits to lead Cubs.

Rangers racked up 26 hits. Ingram, Shendler, Alberts, Bustie, Mertl, Harms, Clayton, Nunndluy, and Noel all collected multiple hits for Rangers. Ingram went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Rangers in hits.

Cubs Can't Catch Up To Patriots

Cubs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 28-2 loss to Patriots on Tuesday. Patriots scored on an passed ball during Golden's at bat, a double by R. Doll, a single by Staten, and a sacrifice fly by Gabe in the second inning.

The Cubs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Patriots, giving up 28 runs.

Patriots scored 12 runs in the sixth inning. Kruger, Courtney, Pantano, Golden, Williams, and Doll all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Tom Wooldridge took the loss for Cubs. He surrendered five runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Eric Eliason started the game for Cubs. He allowed three hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one

Alton Shields led Cubs with two hits in three at bats.

Patriots tallied 20 hits on the day. Doll, Staten, Kruger, Pantano, and Golden each had multiple hits for Patriots. Doll went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Patriots in hits. Patriots didn't commit a single error in the field.

Cubs Falls To Reds Despite Strong Offense

Reds bested Cubs in a high-scoring affair, 22-9. The Cubs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Reds, giving up 22 runs.

Cubs took an early lead in the second inning when Brian Campassi doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Reds took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Reds, Fallahee singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Hanlon singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for Reds.

Cubs put up four runs in the seventh inning. Stacy Clark and Steve Hicks all drove in runs in the frame.

Reds scored nine runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Reds came thanks to walks by Hanlon and Rogers, a triple by Geary, a single by PlayerM, by Laver, an error on a ball put in play by Schutze, and a double by Garcia.

Michael Schuyler took the loss for Cubs. He went four innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out two.

Thunder Captures Lead Early To Defeat Cubs

The Cubs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 19-5 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday. The Thunder scored on an error, a walk by Jenkins, a single by Carcora, and a fielder's choice by Scott in the first inning.

The Cubs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Thunder, giving up 19 runs.

The Thunder scored four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for Thunder came thanks to a walk by Carcora, a single by Scott, and by Lynch.

Jonathan Wetter took the loss for the Cubs. He allowed nine hits and eight runs over three innings, striking out one.

The Cubs racked up 11 hits. Matt Brown, Steve Roach, Joseph Burleson, and Brian Campassi each managed multiple hits for the Cubs. Campassi, Burleson, Wilson, and Brown each collected two hits to lead the Cubs.

The Thunder racked up 20 hits on the day. McAfee, Thomas, Carcora, Lynch, Jenkins, McAter, Scott, and Wise all collected multiple hits for the Thunder.

The Cubs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 25-4 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday.

The Rangers scored on a error in the first inning, a single in the first inning, a double in the first inning, a single in the second inning, a fielder's choice in the second inning, a double in the second inning, and a single in the second inning.

The Cubs struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Rangers, giving up 25 runs.
The Rangers scored seven runs in the fourth inning.

Pitchers for the Rangers allowed 11 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Kevin Wurster took the loss for the Cubs. He surrendered five runs on five hits over one inning, walking one.

The Cubs collected 11 hits on the day. Wurster, Adam Young, and Jonathan Wetter all managed multiple hits for the Cubs. Wetter, Young, and Wurster each collected two hits to lead the Cubs.
