Live Oak yoga is hosting Live Music and Yoga on May 8 at 6pm, sign up on website. This is not your typical yoga class.
Yoga teacher Rebecca Crenshaw and multi-instrumentalist Tom Griffey come together to create an immersive, responsive experience.
As you move, Tom builds a live soundscape in real time—layering turntables, guitar, vocals, and rhythm—shifting with the energy in the room. Some moments are grounding and atmospheric, others build into something more dynamic and alive.
Rebecca guides an all-levels, alignment-based flow that is both intelligent and accessible, offering clear structure while leaving space for exploration, sensation, and breath.
Together, they create a feedback loop—movement shaping music, music shaping movement—resulting in a practice that feels deeply present, creative, and unlike anything else.
