You may be worried about being judged, but you’re deepest fear about body acceptance is is that you’ll stop caring about yourself.

You’re worried that acceptance means complacency. You’re worried that if you allow yourself even a microscopic amount of self-worth and self acceptance as it relates to your body, that you will throw in the towel and never reach your goal.

That is not how this works. The truth is you show up for the things that you value. The more you value the body that you have, the easier it becomes to make decisions that are in alignment with taking very good care of yourself.

It is so much harder to change a body that you hate, and disrespect, if you want that change to be Permanent.

You aren’t actually afraid of being judged.

That’s absolutely happening regardless of what you wear. Instead, you’re terrified of how it bakes you feel to be judged (because you’re already doing it yourself yourself).

Harsh, yes. But accepting this fact will set you free, build your confidence, and allow you to enjoy your life!

Please, I beg of you, stop trying to hide your body in clothes that are not appropriate for the weather or activity that you’re participating in.

You think that you are making yourself less visible to the world and therefore safe from judgment and criticism. But what’s really happening, is that you are standing out more because you are deeply uncomfortable

You may think that you’re pulling a fast one by acting confidently, but that’s not how the brain works.

Our brains are designed to scan our environment and point out inconsistencies. And if you are wearing clothing that would be deemed as strange for the weather or environment, we’re all gonna pick up on that, even though it may not be conscious.

at the end of the day, it’s not about what everyone else thinks of you, but instead it’s about proving to yourself that your body is worthy of comfort and care now, even if you don’t like the way that it looks.

You’re allowed to wish your body looked different, and still treat yourself with kindness, care, and respect.
