✅ In a game of finished chances, captures its first conference championship by scoring twice early and defending well late.

ℹ️ PFC came out roaring, scoring in the opening five minutes of the 2nd half to bring the game to 2-1. But LKR withstood the pressure late and held on for the 2-1 win in Lafayette tonight.

ℹ️ After an early goal by .isabellaa, .women was coming on strong toward the end of the first half until a great counter attack goal by put LKR up 2-0 at the break.

🏆 We’re off and running @ the Gulf Coast Conference Championship in Lafayette as division winners, .women and , battle for the title of Conference Champion and a spot in the WPSL South Regional playoffs in North Carolina.

🚨 We talkin' about PLAYOFFS, not practice! 🚨

👀 With last night's victory over .blues.sc, the have clinched the East Conference regular season championship and locked up the #1 seed and home field for GCL2 Cup Semifinals on June 28. The Blues have been the 2nd place frontrunner all season but .fc isn't out - HFC needs a win vs the Blues this weekend and then make up the rest of the goal differential in the regular season finale next Wednesday vs. to claim the 2nd spot in the East.

👀 In the West, all we can say is, absolute chaos! was up 3-0 at halftime and a 4-2 lead entering the 88th minute in last week's game vs - the game ended 4-4 and Central LA FC clinched a spot in the playoffs. And up north, clinged to a 1-0 lead in the 90th minute before giving up a last-minute penalty equalizer to . With that game also ending in a draw, TCFC was eliminated from the playoffs. And now SU hosts CLFC in a de facto conference championship match. But even though SU is playing for a conference championship, if things go south, LKR is waiting in the wings, hoping that a multi-goal victory over TCFC can give them the goal differential needed to eclipse SU and claim the 2nd playoff spot in the West.
