“THE TOMB IS EMPTY”
They went looking for a body, but found a question. “Why do you seek the living… among the dead?”
See, they came with spices, prepared for decay, ready to honor what they thought was over, but heaven had already moved the stone.
The tomb… is empty. Not because someone stole Him, but because death couldn’t hold Him. Not because Rome slipped up, but because God stood up. And in one moment, history split, darkness lost and hope hit.
The grave thought it won and hell thought it sealed the deal. The enemy thought three days were enough to make the Son of God stay still.
But you can’t bury Life. You can’t silence Truth. You can’t keep a Savior in a borrowed tomb. See, Friday said “finished,” but Sunday said “not even close.” When the stone rolled, so did fear. When Jesus walked, so did freedom.
The tomb… is empty. And that changes everything. That means your sin is not final. Your past, not permanent. Your shame, not your name. The same power that walked out of that grave is still walking into broken places today. Into your doubt, into your addiction, into your secret battles you thought nobody knew how to fix.
The tomb is empty. Which means your life doesn’t have to be empty of purpose, empty of peace, empty of hope.
He got up so you could too. So you don’t have to stay buried in what tried to bury you. You don’t have to live stuck in what He already defeated. You don’t have to wear chains that He already broke.
The tomb is empty. And Jesus isn’t just alive, He’s calling. Calling you out of the grave you’ve been living in. Calling your name like He did Lazarus. “Come out.”
Come out of fear. Come out of hiding. Come out of playing church and step into real life. The resurrection was never just about Him, it was always about you.
The tomb is empty. The stone is rolled. The Savior is risen. So don’t just stand there staring into an empty grave, walk in the power of a living God.
Happy Resurrection Day, Jesus is King!
