The Summer season is down to its final two weeks, but that just means FALL BALL is right around the corner.

Registration is open to Summer and Fall ball Vets currently.

Open to EVERYONE this Wednesday, 8/30.

Rules and Goals for the Season:

All games will be played on Monday nights. Our fields for this season are currently TBD, but we should hopefully have that decided soon. It might be the Quad or it might be somewhere else.

There will be at least 8 teams captained by veteran player volunteers with the possibility of expanding to 10 teams (like last year) if we get enough players signed up.

Last season, we had 19 players per team. The goal is to have roughly 18-20 players per team, depending on how many people sign up. The gender ratio is also TBD, but for reference it was 13 male and 6 female players per team in 2022 9 players on the field at a time with a minimum of 3 per gender at any given time

Fall Ball games are 9 innings long, with the first games starting at 6:30pm and the remaining games starting at 8:00pm

Every team will play at least 7 regular season games. This season, all teams (whether it's 8 teams or 10 teams) will make the playoffs.

They will be seeded according to their positional rankings at the end of the season. Playoffs will take place over two weeks.

Important Dates:

Before the season begins, we will have a LIVE draft (likely at Mick's) where all the captains will pick their teams one by one. The tentative date for the draft will be some time in early to mid September based on captain availability.

Opening week of the season is tentatively set for Oct 9th with the season ending Dec 4th (weather pending).

There are no Saints MNF games or holidays this year occurring on Mondays, so we shouldn't have any weeks off unless it's storming.
League Dues and Payment Information

The league dues this year are $53 per player if you pay by Venmo or Paypal, or $50 if you pay in cash. These payments are used towards your individualized team jerseys that will be designed by your captain, purchases of league equipment, and field rentals. The extra $3 for non-cash payments covers the added administrative costs.

The long, hot, dry summer finally begins to wind down. The season ended in dramatic fashion with the last playoff spot not being decided until the end of the very final game of the day. 5 teams fates were determined with only 3 advancing on to next week. Pirates, 69ers, and Scallywags secured the final playoff slots while the Bad Habits and Pieholes were barely edged out.

The Beat-alls secured their first winning season in 19 years of existence while both Cobra Kai and the Maulers ended with no blemishes in the L column.

This weekend, the playoffs heat up for real.

Week 4 saw two games go to a full 9 innings, Red Army pulled out a victory in the bottom of the 9th while the Fuzz sealed a tie. Intense games to be sure. The Hangovers and Tonics played a wet-tshirt game, Goon Squad is getting better each week, Pieholes, and Maulers both rolled, The Bushwhackers faced a spunkier than expected Doom squad while the 69ers were strictly business against the fun loving Beat-Alls.

Week 5 starts off with a Battle of Undefeateds as Cobra Kai and the 69ers duke it out at noon. Will the Fuzz continue their up and down streaking against a fiesty Beat-Alls team? Will the Goon Squad sneak up on a undefeated Bushwhacker squad? Will the Pirates continue their climb out of tier 3? Will the Scallywags put up any defense against the legs of the pieholes? Will anyone on sexyback or the Hangovers be sober enough to play a full 7 innings?

Week 3 saw nothing but wild runaway games. The Red Army rebounded in dramatic fashion, bringing the Fuzz down with a hard reality check. Doom had rookie drama and forfeited to the Pieholes. The Scallywags final woke from their torpor, The Beat-alls had their legs swept out from under them, but provided tasty vittles to the masses who in turn supplied the condiments to BJ. Juice Factory and Goon Squad went toe to toe, with the Juice notching their first victory. And finally, Sexy Back and Tonics showed us all how little clothing is needed to play Kickball.

Week 2 had a few surprises, a few blowouts, and a few heavy weight fights.

The surging Beat-alls remain undefeated, The Fuzz and 69ers upset their tier 1 opponents in 1 run games, while several of the other tier 1 teams just kept rounding the bases. Some while on shrooms.

Tomorrow marks the start of the 20th year of KOCC.

The 21st season because in our infancy, our forebearers squeezed 2 seasons in the inaugural year of 2004.

Through Wind, Through water, through virus most foul, the league has endured.

When you brave athletes take the field today, pause a moment and reflect on those who came before you. Those foolish mid-citizens who decided it would be fun to play a child's game "competitively" on a local playground in that long ago summer of 2004.

Raise a glass and rejoice.

For the First time in many years, a team has retired and a completely new team has taken up their spot as one of the 18. Our reigning Champions, The Shockers, have decided to hang up their cleats and go out eternally a champion.

Please welcome Goon Squad based out of Lucy's to the hallowed roster of KOCC.

What we begin here, ends in September. Let's make this our greatest Summer yet.

The summer season is down to it's final 3 weeks and the playoff hunt is heating up more than the weather!

The High Life Conference has 1 Seed battle at the top between Red Army and Bad Habits at high noon.

The Jameson Conference has 6 teams battling for 4 spots and everything is still in play. The undefeated Scallywags face the defending champs at 6pm, but every game in the slate has implications.
