Following each game, we’ll recognize the TIGERS whose effort, character and impact stood out on and off the field. Before we announce our first honorees, here’s a quick guide to what each award represents:
Outstanding Servicemen — Recognizes the most valuable Scout Team players whose preparation and effort helped ready the team for competition.
Pillars Awards — Honor players who demonstrated the core virtues of Humility, Perseverance, Courage, Meekness and Family, which are the core Pillars of our program.
Flag Carriers — Selected to represent:
• USA Flag — Leadership
• I Am Third Flag — Selflessness
• Holy Cross Flag — Excellence
• Chris Waddell #68 Flag — Making the most of opportunities
Players of the Game — Recognize the top performances on offense, defense and special teams.
Individual Performance Awards:
• Red Tail — Momentum-changing plays
• TNT — Explosive offensive plays
• Pancake — Dominant blocks that put a defender on the ground
• Shield — Great blocks in any phase of the game
• Bighorn — Outstanding kickoff and punt plays
• Pathfinder — Outstanding kickoff- and punt-return plays
• Sledge — Plays that helped break the game open
• Sword — Big, physical hits
• Anchor — Strong performances when they mattered most
