These photos were taken in Jaipur during our first trip to India.
We went to India wanting to see the place where yoga originated, to experience the things people and books had told us about, and to hopefully deepen our spiritual practices.
We had a loose plan. We went with a motto of saying “yes” to each experience that arose.
During a month in India, visiting places like Varanasi, Jaipur, and Rishikesh, we ate delicious food, meditated on the Ganga River, and met many dear teachers and friends.
We had no idea how the trip would change us.
It changed the way we understand the practice and continues to shape how we teach today.
But it wasn't without challenges. It was our first time in India. It was just the two of us. India can be overwhelming at first.
One afternoon, while sitting in a coffee shop in Varanasi, a city of millions of people, we happened to see someone a few friends had told us about. They described her as a dedicated practitioner, retreat leader, and one of the kindest people they knew.
That was how we met Uschi Uschi Gibson
Over the years, she became a friend, teacher, and guide. Through her, we experienced parts of India we never would have found on our own.
Now, we're honored to be co-hosting a pilgrimage to India with her.
Over 13 days, we'll journey through Varanasi, Khajuraho, Agra, Vrindavan, and Jaipur, exploring sacred temples, chanting together, practicing yoga and meditation, and experiencing the beauty of India.
We decided to call this trip, Pilgrimage to the Heart, because that's what India has been for us.
If India has been calling to you, we'd love to share this journey with you.
We only have a few spaces left. Check out our website or DM us for more information.
