hello WOW! ICYMI I was interviewed by Amy Wilkinson at Women’s Health Magazine alongside Sonja R Price Herbert ( ) & Lindsey Leif ( ) — very exciting for a big publication to report on Pilates from the specific lens of HOW DO WE GET MORE PEOPLE DOING PILATES? and we all have ideas! I thought it was a scam when Amy first contacted me, and I’m delighted to say it was real and the article covered a lot of ground. Link in bio if you missed it.
To speak a little extra about the logistics of sliding scale and scholarships — these are things that I chose to study and implement on my own, and I’d love to help others find their way to creative but sustainable pricing options whether operating on a scale similar to me or much larger. Because if I can do it and create an impact however small from within this business, SO. CAN. YOU. That impact has a ripple effect — let’s make waves!
What if:
+ you’re a Pilates teacher in a position to make operational decisions (manager, owner, etc) and so you do!?
+ you’re a Pilates student (or want to become one!) who’s down with sliding scale and you send this to your friendly neighborhood or franchise Pilates studio and say HEY HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT DOING SOMETHING LIKE THIS?
Happy to help you craft these systems and messages.
What’s so cool about having so many great Pilates teachers and business owners out there, is everyone has something unique to offer, and everyone can connect differently with a wide variety of students. Your pricing model doesn’t have to look just like mine, but you can adjust it a little bit at a time or start offering one scholarship to make a difference in the lives of the people around you. Just begin!
Thankful for each of you; go make moves.
