My dad used to tell a joke that I think about every now and then…

A woman approaches a man on the street in NYC and asks, ‘how do you get to Carnegie Hall?’ The man responds, ‘practice my dear, practice!’

Doing my first PAINT WITH ME! In Person event at Juilliard this past Friday, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my dad’s joke. How in the world did I get to Juilliard???

I think about my dad daily; this time I know he is laughing and smiling. Dad, I know you’re proud ‘up there.’

Sometimes it takes a long time to answer a question…sometimes ‘YES!’ comes out in a flash. I love when ‘YES!’ is my first instinct. I know I can do it and I know it can be done! This was one of those times.

The question:
‘Is there any way we can do a painting that has something to do with beer or our brand? We work on the Michelob Ultra beer brand.’

I know I say PAINT WITH ME! is for all ages and all abilities, but this?

Ok, Charlie didn’t paint this; but doggonit (see what I did there?), she wanted to!!!! I’m not joking.

In any event (see what I did there?), it was a fantastic event! Who knows, maybe doggy self care-team building events are next. Might be ‘ruff’ to do, but I’m up for the challenge 🙂

“What is my favorite type of PAINT WITH ME! event?,” people ask…

I love them all. Really. What I really love most is that art gives us the ability to connect. Young and old.

Corporate events that have employees at the beginning of their career and those that are approaching retirement… Creating, laughing, connecting. I really love those events.

I love seeing people meet their inner artist. In Person and Virtually.

‘Whichever way the wind blows,’ took on new meaning at this epic NYC resident’s PAINT WITH ME! event. One gust and a paint plate went flying... Midtown The Durst Organization Nikki Fuchs Sausen

What I learned:

1. Go with the flow. Allyson literally laughed right through this almost ‘horrific’ event.

2. Get some good ‘wind beneath your wings.’ Brian just rose to the occasion and helped dust Allyson’s feathers off!

3. I need to learn to control uncontrollable laughter.

PAINT WITH ME! has the pleasure and honor of painting with the women of Sharsheret Sharsheret Embrace Community

“I cannot thank you enough for the incredible art session. My husband commented upon seeing my painting, “the picture you painted represented calmness with a burst of light”. The way I felt after the session could not have been said any better! This art session was a kiss from Hashem (G-d). I needed it so badly. I woke up this morning more relaxed. It’s amazing what this class did for me. It will affect my health in many ways.
You should be blessed!
