Hi neighbors this was just shared from a resident who caught this on video. Thank you for Sharing Padrin. A brave crew member working on Castaway lake he was able to remove a can from a skunks head. Please remember we have lots of wildlife around us. Please make sure to put all your garbage in your cans. If you happen to see garbage please pick it up. We don’t want to see wildlife like this.

The islands are HOA community property, however they are maintained, cared for and used by the wonderful residents of Castaway Lake. The great volunteer home owners who spend time cleaning these island have noticed an increase in “pet deposits”. It is the responsibility of the owners of these pets to clean up after their dogs. Not cleaning up is disgusting and unacceptable. HOA management has been made aware.

Found in Castaway lake floating in the water. Please retrieve iteam from rocks lot 223. Most of the water is now drained out so it can be lifted easily now.

Hi Castaway Neighbors it’s that time of year again to check on your furnace exhaust and make sure there isn’t a huge icicle building up. This can potentially cause your furnace to shut down.

A quick reminder that all boats must be off the docks by Monday, October 6 so we can get the lifts out. Please make arrangements to get your last ride in this weekend. Thanks!

We just crossed into September and we are heading into Fall. Please mark your calendars as a reminder that all boats have to be out of the marinas by October 6th. The weather changes quickly after that and we have to get the lifts out. 2026 boat slip applications will be mailed out in January with your HOA dues letter. Enjoy the rest of the season and I'll see you in the Spring.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

We have had an increase in theft from motor vehicle complaints in the City of Mauston as of late. As a reminder, make sure your vehicles are locked when you're away from them, do not leave your keys in your vehicle, do not leave your vehicle running unattended, and do not keep valuables in your unlocked vehicle. This should go without saying but we have to say it.... don't don't don't leave a firearm in your unlocked unattended vehicle.

Please do your part to prevent crimes of opportunity by taking simple steps when you get out of your vehicle.
