Congratulations to one of our long time Iron Eagle wrestlers Tristan Warner on a new coaching position at CV. Tristan is an outstanding person as well as wrestler and a true asset to the CV program. He will do a great job!
CV Wrestling is excited to announce the addition of three new coaches to the program for the 2017-18 season! Former Cumberland Valley standouts Shawn Greevy and Tristan Warner, as well as Mechanicsburg alum Rustin Barrick, the son of former CV head coach Roger Barrick, will all be joining us this season.
"As an Athletic Department and Wrestling program we are excited to welcome these coaches to Cumberland Valley," head coach Dave Heckard said. "These young men have a strong connection with the history of our program and will bring a lot of knowledge to our staff."
Greevy was a 2010 PIAA AAA state runner-up as a senior and a state third-place finisher as a junior as well as a Beast of the East placewinner for CV. He excelled at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, qualifying for the DI NCAA Championships as a senior. He is also a member of the CV Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Warner, a Super32 champion, two-time Beast of the East placer and PIAA AAA state runner-up competed for Old Dominion University where he was a three-time DI NCAA Championship qualifier and two-time NCAA Elite 89 Award recipient. Warner is also a member of the CV Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Barrick, who holds the record for most wins at Mechanicsburg High School, was a three-time state qualifier and 2012 PIAA AAA state runner-up. He competed for Bucknell and was a two-year captain and 2016 DI NCAA Championship qualifier.
Join us in welcoming Cumberland Valley Wrestling's three newest coaches!
