The New Kent Coyotes 16s team poses with their medals for winning the Silver Bracket at the three-day Volley on the James tournament over the MLK weekend. The Coyotes finished with a 6-2 match record, 5th of 32 teams from Virginia, Maryland, DC, & North Carolina. The New Kent Coyotes 15U team members show their runner-up medals from the gold division championship of the Revolutionary Rumble Tournament in Williamsburg, VA. The team finished with a 4-1 match record, losing only 3 sets during the tournament. Pictured below are first-row Ryan Griffith, Brooklyn Wiles, and Katelynn Moore; second-row: Assistant Coach Darian Mason, Carly Sachs, Allison Tober, Reagan Halley-Robinson, Kendall White, Lily Slusser, and Head Coach Stacey Baker; Assistant Coach Jaiden McCoy was not available for the picture. This completes the 15s 2024 season, during which they advanced to the gold bracket in all eight tournaments they competed in, advancing to four tournament championship matches and three additional semifinal matches. The 15s finished ahead of 141 of the 163 teams they competed against this season, accumulating a 38-9 match record, winning 81% of their matches for the season. Congratulations to the NKJV Coyotes 15s on their outstanding season.

The New Kent Juniors Volleyball Club 15U Coyotes took first place and the gold medals at the AAU Richmond Spring Fling Grand Prix tournament held March 23-24 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. The Coyotes placed first of twenty teams competing in the 15 Open Division with a 6-0 match record, winning 12 of 14 sets over the two-day event. The team comprises nine New Kent County volleyball players and is led by Head Coach Stacey Baker. In six tournaments, the 15s have tallied a first, two seconds, two thirds, and a sixth this season, finishing ahead of 107 of the 118 teams they have competed against. The Coyote 15s display their trophy and silver medals for their second-place finish at the AAU Trident Challenge in Virginia Beach over February 10-11. The team finished the tournament with a 6-1 record. This is the team's second silver medal finish in their first three tournaments of the 2024 season. New Kent Juniors Volleyball Club announces teams for the 2024 club season. For the upcoming club season, NKJV will field a 17U team and a 15U team. The 17s team will be coached by Susie Phillips, who coached last year's 16s team. The 15s team will be coached by Stacey Baker, who coached last year's 15s team. The New Kent Coyote 16s pose before their last match of the opening day of the South Atlantic Championship sponsored by the Richmond Volleyball Club. The Coyotes finished 3-0 without dropping a set, retaining their #1 tournament seeding going into the second day of pool play for the three-day event. Finishing first or second on Sunday will advance them to the 10-team Gold Bracket and a shot at the tournament championship. The New Kent Coyotes 16s will complete their 2023 season over the Memorial Day weekend in the three-day South Atlantic Championship tournament hosted by the Richmond Volleyball Club. Based on their season record of 44 wins with only 12 losses, the Coyotes are seeded first in the 16s division and will begin play at 3:00 pm on court 10 at the Richmond Volleyball Club on Byrdhill Road. Admission is $18 per day or $36 for all three days and can be purchased online at https://sportwrench.com/event/23084. Congratulations to (L to R), Mackenzie Loveland, Abby McLaughlin, and Fallon Greenawalt, who were selected to the All-Tournament team in the 16s National Division at the Beach Fest Super Regional tournament held over Mother's Day weekend in Ocean City, Maryland. The Coyotes 16s team finished tied for third in the 15-team event with a 5-2 match record.

The NKJV Coyotes 16s team competed in their sixth championship match in eight tournaments for the 2023 season, finishing as the runner-up in the 2023 Revolutionary Rumble hosted April 29-30 by the Williamsburg Volleyball Club. The Coyotes finished ahead of 18 other teams competing in the 16 Open division. Playing at the AAU Coast to Coast Gran Prix in Hampton on February 18 & 19, the Coyote 15s checked another season goal by advancing to the gold bracket for the playoff round. The team finished fourth in the event and will play next at the Rocky Mount, NC, Event Center on March 4-5.
