Pluto (RIP)

This week’s Artist of the Week is Pluto Shervington! 🎶

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Leighton ‘Pluto’ Shervington first made his mark as part of the show band Tomorrow’s Children in the late 1960s. Following the group’s split, he embarked on a successful solo career, becoming known for tracks including “Your Honour”, “Ram Goat Liver”, “Dat” and “I Man Born Ya”.

Happy Birthday to Natalliah Whyte!

Wishing Jamaican sprint star Natalliah Whyte a very Happy Birthday! From her standout performances at St. Jago High School to representing Jamaica on the world stage, she has built an impressive career filled with remarkable achievements.

Natalliah captured gold in the 200m at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing and has proudly represented Jamaica as part of the women's 4×100m relay team, winning gold at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, silver at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, and bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Wishing her continued success, good health, and many more accomplishments in the years ahead. Have a fantastic birthday, Natalliah!
