Hello friends and neighbors!
Thursdays are days that businesses are allowed to post to “promote” ourselves and reintroduce ourselves on the town pages. But this Thursday is different. This Thursday we mourn. I am sure that many of you have seen or heard of this tragic news involving the Videtto family who lived locally. Although we don’t know this family, our hearts are so burdened for them. While we are anticipating the arrival of our fifth baby, a family just a town away from us is saying goodbye to one of their babies. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we’ve walked through this heartbreak. And while this time it’s not as “close” to us, we know how difficult navigating this trial is. It’s hard to put into words the sorrow that I’m sure many of our local families are also feeling. So I guess, this Thursday we just ask that you be still, that you take a minute to be present with/for your family, and try desperately to remember the things in this life that are actually important.

Harwinton is our neighboring town and this little community has been hit so devastatingly hard in the past couple of weeks. Sweet little Olivia and the fire at 5 Scoops has been on our hearts nonstop. It might seem like such a little thing to “like”, “share”, or “follow” but to a small operation it truly can make the difference. As for Olivia’s family absolutely anything you can do that would be uplifting (and also being sure to be respectful) I’m sure would be greatly appreciated. It feels almost silly to be reminding/requesting our small towns to come together during this time because we have seen firsthand several times that our community has come together. However, as your life moves on just remember that for others time is standing still and any and all help/encouragement never goes unnoticed! ❤️ thank you friends!

It may have taken me until my late 20s to figure it out but after each baby I’ve felt this silent but urgent tug on my heart to be home with my babies. 🥹 This is how our small business came to be from a deep seeded desire to change up our entire normal…and for that, I am forever grateful. We’ve had so many very late nights and very early mornings but we are together and we have very clearly seen the differences it’s made on our family relationships. So yes, at 30 I can finally say I’m exactly where I want to be. Right here, right at home with my sweet, sweet family. So as a word of encouragement, if you’ve ever felt like you still weren’t sure of what you wanted your career/life to look like…there’s still time!

This is a post to BRAG! Let’s call it what it is, I’m totally bragging on my 8yr old. On our own my kid hooked up the trailer, ratchet strapped appropriately, helped roll and lift a 300lb bounce house, and repacked the trailer. Proud is an understatement. This little boy is earning the title of man. 💪

Holy Busy!
Woah 🤯 We are entering a new phase of “so busy we can barely keep our heads on straight” and we are SO THANKFUL! 🥹 This is our second full year in the business and we literally cannot thank our community enough for keeping us going.
We had a fairly busy past weekend even despite the rain, and a beautiful Memorial Day🇺🇸
We are now entering a 3 week period of being booked ALMOST every. Single. Day. We are almost at our capacity before needing to bring on more consistent help!
This is HUGE for us! Sometimes when we say ‘thank you’ it just doesn’t seem to fully encompass our gratitude but believe me when I say it’s genuine! ☺️ And lastly, I have to say thank you to all of you who are so patient and supportive with all our kids! We know we have a big crew and it doesn’t go unnoticed that you tolerate them running around while we get to work!

Tell me your honest reaction to waking up to this nice, new project! 😆 I will add that somehow no chickens were injured in this catastrophic event, only set free! 🙈
