💔 Heartbreak in Fennimore.

Our postseason run comes to an end tonight in the Regional Semi-Finals after a hard-fought, absolute battle on the diamond. The Glarner Knights fell to the Fennimore Eagles 9-8 in a walk-off finish.
While it's a tough pill to swallow, we could not be prouder of the fight, grit, and resilience this team showed from the first pitch to the very last.

📝 Game Recap
The Knights came out absolutely roaring in the top of the first inning. Nolan Julseth launched a massive home run to center field to help spark a 4-run first frame. We kept the pressure on in the second, extending our early lead to a commanding 6-0.
Fennimore answered back to take the lead later in the game, but our boys refused to quit. In the top of the sixth, Ethan Colstad singled down the right-field line to drive in the tying run and knot things up at 8-8.
The game remained deadlocked until the bottom of the seventh, when Fennimore managed to push across the winning run on a walk-off single.

Highlights from Thursday's Playoff Win over Belleville!

The Golden Shovel goes to Kaleb Weber for his outstanding performance in tonight's 8-7 playoff victory over Belleville!
Kaleb was a spark plug at the plate, finishing the game 2-for-3 with a crucial RBI that helped fuel our comeback win. His play was vital in our rally during the bottom of the fifth inning, helping the Glarner Knights secure the lead and advance to the next round of the playoffs.
Great job, Kaleb! Keep up that momentum as we head to Fennimore on Tuesday.

What a resilient performance tonight!

The Glarner Knights secured an exciting comeback victory over the Belleville Wildcats in the first round of the playoffs at Veteran's Memorial Park, finishing with a final score of 8-7.
Despite falling behind early and trailing by as many as five runs, the team battled back throughout the game. The Glarner Knights took the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth inning when Brock Roth singled to break a 7-7 tie.

Key offensive contributions for the Glarner Knights included:
Brock Roth: 2-for-3 with 1 RBI.
Kaleb Weber: 2-for-3 with 1 RBI.
Ashlin Milbauer: 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs.
Braden Rear: 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs.

On the mound, Kamm Nehmer started the game and pitched 4.2 innings. Matthew Roth provided strong relief, pitching the final 2.1 innings, allowing only two hits and striking out one to earn the win.
We are moving on to the next round! The team travels to Fennimore on Tuesday for the second round of post-season play. Let's keep this momentum going!
