Don’t forget Hunter education class this weekend the 12th and 13th. Also Free Kids fishing tournament Oct 3rd 1-4pm at the club.
Oct 4th starts our turkey shoots every Sunday at 10am.
There are still a few tickets left on the Stevens .243 and we also have wood tickets for a cord of wood. Both will be due in November.

OGHS Archery team:
Good Morning,
My name is Melissa Bowersox and I am the head coach of OGHS Archery Team. I am reaching out to area businesses to see if they’d like to donate some very much needed equipment to the team. We are currently in need of Easton 1820 arrows for tournaments, NASP approved block targets, Genesis right handed arrow rests and an additional arrow curtain for shooting in the gym. club news:
A free Hunter Education class will be held at the club Sept 12th, 1-6pm & 13th 1-6:30pm. Must attend both days unless you took the online course, which may attend on Sunday only. To register sign up at www.register-ed.com pick WV and look for those dates.
A free Kids fishing tournament will be held at the club on October 3rd from 1-4pm. For ages 3-15, Prizes and food and drinks will be provided.
Our fall Turkey Shoots will start October 4th at the club. Sign-ups at 9:30am shoot starts at 10am.

New hunter ed poster. For information on the class call or text Vance at 304-374-5587 the full poster did not fit on our page. Also our last catfish tournament winner. Only one person turned in any catfish. He had two, so he was able to get 1st and 2nd place. Congrats to Chris Knox of East Liverpool, OH with a 25” Flathead for longest, and a 20 1/2” Flathead for lucky draw. The number was 21. Water temperature was 75 degrees and muddy from all the
rains. The next meeting is this Tuesday September 1st at 7:30pm. Early Canadian goose season comes in Sept 1st & Dove season comes in at noon on the 1st. Remember you need the federal migratory bird stamp available at Chester post office and Cabela’s and on line. It cost $25. Persons under 16 is not required to have it but everyone has to have a hip license which is free on the WV DNR web site.

Do to an unforeseen event, their was no one at the July Ohio River Catfish tournament to measure the fish. We are extremely sorry and apologize for the inconvenience. All entries will be refunded or they can apply the fee to the next tournament in August. Please contact us for a refund with your name and address.

The winners of the kids fishing tournament For longest fish age group 3-8
In the middle is 1st place Luca Theiss 11 1/4” on the left is 2nd place Micah Null 7 1/2”, and 3rd place Blaire Theiss 7 1/8” on the right.

Middle picture is age group 9-15. Winners were, in the middle 1st place Morgan Six with a 11 1/2” fish, on the right is 2nd place Logan Fisher with a 10 1/2” fish, 3rd place winner on the left was Grey Squires with an 8” fish. Over all prize drawing winner was Morgan Six. The fishing was slow but the kids had a great time fishing, eating hot dogs, drink boxes and everyone got a door prize. Watch our page for another kids tournament later this summer or early fall.

Winners from the June 21st Catfish tournament were on the left Kenny Williams of East Liverpool, OH with a 25 1/2” channel catfish. On the right is Second place lucky draw winner Logan Reed of Pittsburgh PA. With a 23” flathead catfish.
