TAMPA MAN GETS LIFE AFTER TH*****ME TURNS INTO DEADLY SHOOTING

Dewayne Gallishaw, 29, will spend the rest of his life behind bars after a consensual encounter involving three men erupted into deadly violence inside a Tampa apartment. Prosecutors said Gallishaw suddenly left the encounter, retrieved a gun and returned before shooting a 23-year-old man twice in the head.

The violence continued when Gallishaw targeted his own boyfriend, who managed to fight him out of the apartment and lock the door. Gallishaw then opened fire from outside, with bullets entering a neighboring apartment and striking a 72-year-old woman in the foot.

A jury convicted Gallishaw of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was sentenced to two life terms plus another 30 years.

NYC TEACHERS’ UNION CLASHES WITH MAMDANI OVER $10,000 PAYMENTS

Less than a year after endorsing Zohran Mamdani, New York City’s largest teachers union is now preparing to fight his administration in court. The dispute centers on legislation approved 49-0 by the City Council that would provide public-school paraprofessionals with $10,000 payments.

Mamdani allowed the measure to become law but his administration simultaneously sued to block its implementation, arguing that employee compensation must be handled through collective bargaining rather than imposed by the City Council.
