As we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 19, our parks remain open but most of our facilities will be closed. They will return to normal operation on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Some JCPRD facilities will have modified hours on Dec. 31. All JCPRD facilities will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1. JCPRD parks and trails will be open during regular park hours on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

All JCPRD facilities will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas. JCPRD parks and trails will be open during regular park hours.

Visitor Services at Shawnee Mission Park will be closed. Purchase permits online at https://www.jcprd.com/642/Fishing-Boating-Permits

Most JCPRD facilities will be closed Nov. 27 & 28. Facilities will have regular weekend hours unless otherwise noted.

- JCPRD parks and trails will be open during regular park hours.
- Ernie Miller Nature Center is closed to drop-in visitors until mid-2026. The park is open dawn to dusk.
- Heritage Park and Tomahawk Hills golf courses will be open Nov. 28, 29, & 30 - weather permitting
- The Johnson County Museum and Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center will be open Saturday, Nov. 29 for regular business hours.

- Tomahawk Hills and Heritage Park golf courses will be open during regular hours, weather permitting
- Ernie Miller Nature Center will be closed Monday - restrooms are not available when the nature center is closed.
- Visitor Services at Shawnee Mission Park will be closed Monday. Purchase permits online.
- Shawnee Mission Park Marina will be open - reserve scheduled time online (10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm - last rental)
