A little late on posting for 2023 so here’s a quick recap.

Moved up to KA100 Junior this year and first big race was Orlando for Round 1 of . Out of 50+ kids Tyler qualified 46th and then ended up in the last chance qualifier. He barely made the main starting in 45th and moved up to 26th in the first lap before wrecking out and DNFing. Learned a lot and had a lot of homework to do after that. Moving from Mini to Junior was going to take a little more effort off the track to be able to handle the larger kart and 80 more pounds.

The next race was where he qualified 5th out of 27, 1st in the first heat, 5th in the second heat and a DQ in the third heat for being too narrow. Started the main in 7th and finished in 7th.

Then came where he swept the weekend with pole, first in the heats and first in the main to get his first 2 regional Junior wins.

Last weekend was Round 2 of and was the first time racing nationally in our home state! Tyler qualified 11th out 50, 6th in the first heat, and 8th in the second and third heats. Started the main in 12th and finished in 8th but promoted to 6th…just missing out on his first national podium for Junior by one spot!

Very proud of the progress Tyler has made already this year but there’s a lot more work to be done!

Thank you to Charlie Swayne and the crew for all you do to prepare Tyler for these races and to everyone else who makes another year possible for Tyler to race.

Thanks to and for always keeping Tyler safe!

Next up is Oklahoma for Round 2 of in a couple weeks.

Another year of karting finished. SuperNats 25 was quite the experience.

Tyler qualified P7 out of 50 drivers from 8 different countries. Finished the 3 heats in P5, P2, and P9 which put him starting P2 for the main on Super Sunday. The start of the main didn’t go as planned and after being hit from behind fell back to 11th. He took the entire 18 laps to catch back up to the front pack but crossed the line in P6.

Podiums are awarded through P5 so he just missed out on the big podium celebration. Although post race penalties moved Tyler up into the 5th position…taking home some hardware.

This was the last race in Mini Swift for Tyler as he is moving up to KA100 Junior next year and racing the Tony kart that raced (and maybe put in the barrier 🤣) this weekend. Travis raced the KA100 Master class and finished 19th…right in front of but an incident responsibility penalty sent him to 21st. You know who didn’t have a single penalty all weekend….Tyler. 🫢

This father/son race weekend made for some interesting tent talk! But huge shout out to Travis for wrenching on BOTH his masters kart as well as Tyler’s Mini AND racing with pretty consistent lap times. This couldn’t have happened without the help of his parents, Charlie Swayne and the entire Iron Rock team.

This was a pretty great year for Tyler:

- 3rd in SKUSA Winter Tour (.usa)
- 1st USPKS (.usa)
- 1st SKUSA Pro Tour (.usa)
- 2nd USPKS ()
- 1st championship ()
- 5th SuperNationals ()

National Championship standings:
- 3rd in the
- 5th in the Pro Tour
(All with only 2 DNFs and 3 penalties all year)

So many to thank for all of 2022:

Charlie Swayne

…and all of our racing friends/family, national and local, on and off the team, that have supported us on and off the track along the way. This racing stuff is a crazy ride but we wouldn’t have it any other way!! Goodbye Mini….hello KA100 Junior!!

Tyler finished out the final rounds of series at last weekend. It wasn’t the weekend he wanted to close out the series which resulted in him missing 2nd place in the championship but he was still able to hang on to 3rd despite a qualifying of P16 on Saturday, prefinal finish P14 and then taken out on the first turn of the main resulting in a DNF.

Sunday was a new day and the pace was found from the day before with being fastest in warmup. But a dropped wheel in qualifying took him back to P18 to start the prefinal (the outside streak continued and lasted all weekend). Finished the prefinal in P12 and another rough outside start saw him fall back to finish P15. A P8 finish would have put him in 2nd for the championship.

Overall the roughest weekend he has had all year but was proud of ending his second year racing nationally with a 3rd place in the championship.

This year could not have been possible without , , and the entire .usa team supporting and believing in Tyler in addition to Charlie and ….and of course . This year has been a rollercoaster and we have loved the ride! Thank you all!!

Additional thanks to and for their support.

See you all in Vegas!!

Guess who’s getting back in the seat??? 21 years since he’s been in a kart. Who do you think will have a better finish at Super Nationals…Tyler or Travis??

Any other dad’s or mechanics going to join him and Rob in KA100 Masters??

at least you won’t have to announce Travis’ race! 🤣🤣🤣

Finished out the 2022 Pro Tour with Round 5 and 6 this weekend at .

It was a tough weekend trying to keep up with the pace of some of the other karts.

Tyler qualified P4 on Saturday morning but a rough start from the front of the pack sent him off the track and to the back. He was second to last when he got back on and fought back up to P9, promoted to P8. Started the final in P8 and was taken out half way through by another kart, again off the track with a bent chassis, tie rod, etc but managed a P14 finish. Really needed a good final to continue to fight for a series podium.

Sunday’s qualifying was not great. You really need a draft or someone pushing you…or a whole lot of horsepower at this track for a good qualifying and Tyler didn’t have that this time and qualified P12. In the prefinal Tyler made his way up through traffic to finish P4. During the main he held with the front pack for most of the race but fell back towards the end and finished just off podium in P4.

Before the weekend, Tyler had a shot at finishing P2 in the Championship but unfortunately wasn’t able to gather enough points with the DQ in NOLA earlier in the year. We think he finished P5 in the championship…but that’s unofficial.

Congrats to teammates .iliffe and for their amazing drives this weekend sealing Jack the championship (and P3 in the race) and (unofficially) 3rd in the championship for Gage in his rookie year racing nationally.

Also, congrats to Nico for his first national Micro win and and .helio for their podiums over the weekend.

Big thanks to:

What a fun weekend in Wisconsin for round 5 & 6 of series.

Details in comments as it was too long to post in caption but the highlights are: good qualifying, bad starts and massive drives for both Saturday and Sunday. Was leading both finals into the last corner of the last lap and ended a P5 on Saturday and a P2 on Sunday. Two fast laps and passed around 50 karts over the weekend.

Super fast .usa chassis all weekend long!

Great drives by , and and congrats on their podiums. Congrats to teammate for his podium as well!

This was our first national race with Charlie under our new team . We have known Charlie and most of the team members for awhile now as this is a somewhat local team for us and we are very excited to continue this fight for some national championships this year! This was a tough decision as we have loved our time with the .usa team and will continue to run the Parolin chassis and do our best to keep it on top!

Thank you to all the support from everyone over the weekend, I know a lot of you were rooting for Tyler and we appreciate the words of encouragement from every one of you.

Thanks to and as well.
