The second lottery for deer firearm and muzzleloader seasons opens through June 30. Unsuccessful Illinois residents who applied in the first lottery drawing but were not awarded a permit, as well as non-residents, may apply. Visit https://huntillinois.org/announcement for more information.

2026 Turkey Season Update

We’re off to a solid start this spring and wanted to give everyone a quick look at how the season is shaping up so far.

Illinois Results:
• Youth Hunters: 2 hunters / 1 gobbler shot
• Fully Guided: 5 hunters / 6 gobblers shot
• Semi-Guided: 4 hunters / 2 gobblers shot

Kansas Results:
• Guided: 1 hunter / 1 gobbler shot

Overall, we’re sitting on a strong success rate with multiple doubles and a lot of great hunts in the books already.

We’ve still got a few tags to fill:
• Illinois – 2 hunters remaining(5th season)
• Kansas – 2 hunters remaining

Grateful for every client that trusts us to be part of their hunt. The birds have been working, and we’re looking forward to finishing the season strong. Thanks for the 6 clients so far that have already rebooked for next year!

One of our favorite bucks from 2025 that one of our hunters harvested. We had a few years of pictures of this buck and believe he was 6.5. Just a Big bodied Pike Co buck sporting a 161" frame! Who's ready for November yet?

First turkey hunt… and he made it count.

Scott from Illinois came down this week for his very first turkey hunt with us at Xtreme Hunts. After a tough break yesterday with a miss on a big gobbler, he stayed after it—and this morning delivered.

At first light, he got redemption and put down a longbeard. But it didn’t stop there…

Just 10 minutes later, we had 3 more gobblers come storming in, fired up and gobbling hard. Scott stayed calm, made it happen again, and punched his second tag.

Two birds down on his FIRST turkey hunt. Doesn’t get much better than that.
That’s what it’s all about—sticking with it and capitalizing when it matters.

Food plot season is here at Xtreme Hunts!

We’re maintaining clover and oat plots with mowing and herbicide, while planting new plots in milo, corn, and beans to keep deer and turkey where they belong.

Another successful turkey hunt at Xtreme Hunts!

A client from Indiana came in for a 2-day semi-guided hunt. After two tough days, he switched to fully guided on the final day—and just 21 minutes after legal shooting light, he tagged out on a great gobbler!

We appreciate him trusting us with his hunt and sticking with it until it happened. Congrats again on a well-earned bird!
