P7 finish and the 4th fastest lap in the final race! 🏎️🔥

A great way to close out my first F1600 race weekend at Barber Motorsports Park. Being able to run right there with the competition made the final race even more exciting. Here’s a quick recap of how it all wrapped up.

My first race weekend in the F1600 at Barber Motorsports Park with FRP was a huge success!

After shaking off the nerves in the first race, I continued to build confidence, find speed, and make real progress throughout the weekend. The competition was strong, and it was an awesome experience racing at this level.

I couldn’t be more excited for the 2027 season! There’s a lot of work to put in between now and then, but I’m ready for the challenge.

First F1600 race weekend!🏎️🔥Clay is heading to Barber Motorsports Park October 16–18 for his first race in the F1600! He’ll be competing in the Formula Race Promotions (FRP) series as part of the Racing America weekend.

After weeks of testing and getting familiar with the car, it’s finally time to see what he can do on race day. Excited for this one!

What a weekend at the CKNA Grand Nationals!🔥 With over 600 racers at the event and 86 drivers in 206 Junior, Clayton qualified P5 and showed some serious speed all weekend.

206 Junior Results
Quali: P5
Heat 1: P3 🥉
Heat 2: P2 🥈
Heat 3: P11
Final: P6

One of the best moments came in Heat 2, when Clay spent nearly the entire race in P3 before finding an opening right at the finish line to steal P2! Check out the video here or on youtube.com/ Kart Chaser Powered by Acceleration Kart Racing 👀

In the Final, Clay started P7 and took the lead by lap 2, leading 6 of the 15 laps. He also recorded the fastest lap of the race on lap 14, which was the fastest race lap in the entire Junior class all weekend!

Not quite the finish he was hoping for, but plenty to be proud of. Next up, Barber Motorsports Park for some F1600 racing! 🏎️

It’s Grand Nationals race week!🏁 Clay is heading to New Castle Motorsports Park for the CKNA Grand Nationals, October 7–11. He’ll be competing in 206 Junior against some of the best in the class. Ready for a big week of racing🔥

P1 in 206 to close out a wild day of racing🏆🔥

Clay was back at Texas Sprint Racing Series with IronRock Motorsports for another round of racing in 206 Jr and KA100 Jr.

206 Jr
Quali: P6
Heat 1: DNF
Heat 2: P2 on track, P7 after penalty
Heat 3: P1 🥇
Final: P1 🏆

KA100 Jr
Quali: P3🥉
Heat 1: P2🥈
Heat 2: P3🥉
Heat 3: P3🥉
Final: DNF

The KA Final ended with an incident on the last lap that left Clay with a pretty banged up arm and hand. With the 206 Final only about an hour later, he got himself ready, got back in the kart, and finished the day with a win.

One of the best moments came after the racing. The other driver involved in the KA incident immediately came over to check on Clay and apologize. Racing incidents happen, but how these young drivers handle themselves afterward matters just as much.
