District 7 Ranger Softball

Ranger Softball has voted to change its birthdate cutoff for determining age group eligibility to August 31. The new cutoff takes effect for the upcoming season. Under the change, a player’s age group will now be based on how old she is as of August 31, rather than the previous cutoff date of December 31st.

For Example:
Players age on August 31, 2026 will determine division placement for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 seasons.

The board made the decision after reviewing feedback from coaches and families and looking at how neighboring leagues and higher levels of play handle age determination. We want our age groups to make sense for our players and to line up with where the sport is headed, this change helps us do that.

The energy on the 6U fields this weekend was absolutely unmatched!🥎

A huge shoutout to Huffman for playing lights out and locking in the 2026 Ranger Youth Softball 6U championship.

We also have to tip our caps to the Crosby crew—you put up a great fight and walked away with a well-deserved runner-up title.

It’s moments like these at the end of a well fought battle that remind us exactly why this is the premier softball program in Texas.

We’re so grateful for the parents, families, and leagues who show up and pour so much into these girls every single game. Thanks for helping us make this such a great season!

What an incredible weekend of softball! 🥎
Huge congratulations to Titus County for battling through the bracket to become the 2026 Ranger Youth Softball 8U champions! And a massive shoutout to the EMC team for a hard-fought tournament to take home the runner-up title. You both played your hearts out.

Looking at these photos, it’s clear why we have the best softball program in Texas. A huge thanks goes out to all the leagues and families who put in the miles and support these girls—we couldn’t do it without you!

So proud of the grit and sportsmanship shown by everyone on the field! 🏆
