Stress Bootcamp Stress Bootcamp is a range of programs that have been specifically designed to help people of all walks of life effectively manage their stress.

My name is Dr. Leonaura Rhodes and I am a Neurofeedback Trainer and Life Coach. Having trained as a doctor in the UK, I worked as a hospital doctor, trained as a General Practitioner and finally a Public Health Doctor. I took a career break to look after my two sons who were both seriously ill as infants. Having family experience of the Special Needs world, I developed a special interest in that f

ield and that spurred me to make changes in my life so I trained as a Counselor and a Life Coach. In the UK I ran a successful Life Coaching business, specializing in working with families with special needs children. I then returned to medicine to work as a Community Pediatrician, a specialism in the UK similar to Developmental Pediatrics here: I assessed, diagnosed and treated children with a wide variety of special needs and disabilities. I have also been a Board Member of a special needs support group (Commonsense Harpenden). Some stress is normal and can ordinarily be a good thing. Stress is the body and brain’s response to an immediate threat. Stress motivates you to take action: to do work, to study or to pay your bills. Chronic and severe stress, however, are really bad for you and can lead to:

- relationship problems;

- an increased risk of mental health problems;

- cause or worsening of physical health problems such as heart attack, cancer, stroke and immune system problems;

- weight loss or gain;

- reduced performance in all you do!
