Spirit Squad Summer Camp just got bigger.

NC Dance Clinics x is coming to New Canaan this August.

Game day energy meets collegiate-style instruction.

Three days of spirit-style routines in pom, jazz and hip hop, taught by the nationally ranked, two-time National Champion Sacred Heart University Dance Team.

Dates: August 5, 6, 7
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: New Canaan Country School
Grades: 1 to 8 (2026 to 2027 school year)

What’s included:

You asked. Here’s the scoop. 🤍

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE — May 25, just two weeks away. Our Elementary and Middle School dancers are ready, and we cannot wait for you to see them.

SUMMER CAMP — August 6, 7, 8. In partnership with Sacred Heart University, right here in New Canaan. SHU’s national award-winning dance team will lead our campers in pom, spirit, and performance. You won’t want to miss this. Details announced this week!

FALL — Both elementary and middle school tracks, with halftime performances at New Canaan High School football games, New Canaan Youth Football Association games, and carrying through basketball season at NCHS. You told us you wanted a full season — we’re giving it to you. New team options. New uniforms. New coaches. So many exciting details ahead.

Our upper elementary and middle schoolers can dance.

We’re thrilled to welcome Rockshana Desances to our team! She’ll be leading our Wednesday Dance Skills Lab class.

Rockshana holds a B.F.A. in Dance and is currently a current Varsity Dance Team Head Coach in New Milford, alongside her work as a studio instructor. She was also former USA Ski Team cheerleader and Connecticut Sun Shine Squad member.

She brings experience working with both school teams and studio dancers, helping dancers build strong technique, performance quality, and overall confidence.

Her background spans jazz, pom, contemporary, and more, and she works with dancers across a range of levels, offering clear instruction, helpful feedback, and a supportive, encouraging environment.

Join us this Wednesday to learn and practice dance technique including turns, leaps and more. All levels are welcome.

Spring is almost here and so is our new dance session!

NC Dance Clinics will finish off our final session before summer with a 6-week Spring Session (April 15 – May 23) for dancers in Grades K–6. This year, our groups will perform and march in the New Canaan Memorial Day Parade on May 25 — one of the most special traditions in our town. 🎉

Whether your dancer is just starting out or ready to perform, we have a class for them:

Here’s something we hear from parents constantly: “Dance class is the only place my kid stretches.”
That alone makes it worth it — but honestly, that’s just the warm-up. 💃

Our jazz classes are built for kids who do it all. Soccer, lacrosse, musical theater, you name it. Short 6–8 week sessions mean no year-long commitment and no schedule conflicts. But inside that class? Real training. Turns, kicks, leaps, across-the-floor fundamentals — broken down and built up until they stick. Modern jazz, theater jazz, precision — blended so dancers get versatile technique that carries into every performance, every audition, every sport.

Each session wraps with a routine that shows exactly how far they’ve come.
