Now the boys will be looking toward next year's season, and will be training hard all summer to come back faster for the fall.

Hard copy —> Props to Coach Fred Simonson for passing on a recruiting letter and some trifold pamphlets that he and Coach Bill Leavitt used to help recruit high school athletes and walk-ons.

The banner of the letter includes an image of the 1971 V8 that placed second at the EARC Sprints. The 71 V8 is also pictured in the blue-colored recruiting trifold as well as the 1970 IRA National Champion V4. Rutgers Olympians Fred Borchelt and Steve Christiansen are featured in the brown-colored trifold.

Highlights mentioned in the recruiting materials include the athletic and academic success of team members. And for sure note the old school Rutgers inter-department routing envelop with the string closure that Fred used while he was on campus.

Anyone still have a copy of the recruiting materials they may have received or recall how they were recruited or walked on?

Here are the results from our dual against George Washington yesterday! Conditions were pretty windy and rainy to say the least, but the boys came out on top in the Varsity and 3rd Varsity categories, with a close race in the 2nd Varsity.

All around some great racing from all crews, even amidst the conditions. A big thank you to all the volunteers that came out in the rain to make the racing happen, and thanks to GW for making the trip up here.
