Good Morning,
I’ve been getting a lot of messages asking what’s going on with Midstate and whether there will be an AAU season, so I wanted to address everything here.
First, I want to apologize for the lack of communication. I haven’t been as responsive as I normally am, and that’s on me. The truth is, I’ve been dealing with a lot off the court, including a very difficult and personal divorce, and it’s taken more of my time and energy than I expected.
I also had to take a step back to be the best coach I can be for my high school team and, more importantly, to be there for my children. This hasn’t been easy on any of us. While we’re finally starting to get settled, the truth is we still have a long road of healing ahead.
With everything that has transpired, I’ve had to prioritize my mental health. Getting pulled in a million different directions just isn’t something I can manage right now while I’m trying to heal—and I need to be honest about that.
With that, Midstate will be reduced to one team moving forward. My focus will be on a smaller group of players who are preparing to play at the collegiate level, so I can give them the time and attention they deserve.
I truly appreciate everyone who has reached out, supported us, and been part of this program. We are incredibly grateful for our village—your support has made this transition smoother than I could have ever imagined.
I know this may be disappointing, and I’m truly sorry.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. ❤️🏀
