Week 10 goes to Nyande!

The coaches have been so impressed with Nyande’s leadership and consistency. She knows the choreography well and uses her voice to help keep the team focused and attentive during practice. Her reliability and effort stand out every week, and her dedication does not go unnoticed.

Nyande also had perfect attendance during the 2024 season—a level of commitment the coaches will never forget. She continues to be a strong example of what it means to be dependable and hardworking on and off the floor.

Week 10 marks our final Dancer of the Week for the 2025 season, and Nyande couldn’t be a better choice to close it out. Congratulations, Nyande!

✨Senior Spotlight: Aliyah✨

Aliyah’s senior year has been filled with excitement, memories, and joy—especially through dance! From practices to performances, dance has been a place for her to express herself, bond with teammates, and create unforgettable moments.

She says dance has made senior year even more fun, giving her confidence, friendships, and memories that will last far beyond graduation.

After high school, Aliyah plans to study sonography and nursing. We’re so proud of you, Aliyah!

✨Senior Spotlight: Ella✨

Ella started dancing at just two years old—making this her sixteenth year of dance! She’s danced at multiple studios, including an online one during COVID, and this marks her fourth year on the Irondale Dance Team

Her advice to younger dancers: “Take in all of the best moments—it’ll be over before you know it.”

After graduation, Ella plans to attend Grand Canyon University and major in marketing. We’re so proud of you, Ella!

✨Senior Spotlight: Hailey✨

Hailey started dancing at a young age before switching to gymnastics. One of her earliest memories is performing a tap routine—without her tap shoes! Even though things didn’t go as planned, she gave it her all and had the time of her life.

Her advice: “Having setbacks or little things go wrong shouldn’t stop you from achieving your goals—no matter how big or small they are.”

Hailey plans to study kinesiology in college and hopes to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer. We’re so proud of you, Hailey! 💛

Week 9 goes to Abby!

The coaches can tell Abby has been putting in the work outside of practice. Her memorization and confidence with the choreography have improved so much since last season, and her effort truly shows every time she steps on the floor. She’s been focused, consistent, and continues to set a great example for her teammates.

Outside of dance, Abby’s favorite color is purple, and her favorite subject in school is history. Her favorite thing about IDT is lipsyncing songs with Teagan during warm-ups. In the fall, she enjoys getting ready for Irish dance regionals and spending time with her team.

We’re so proud of how much Abby has grown this season. Congratulations on being our Week 9 Dancer of the Week!

Our dancers absolutely shined! Great job to Stillwater, Guy/Girl, our Kids Clinic, and all of our dancers—the showcase had it all. Huge thanks to our parents and everyone who came to support—it was a success! Special shoutout to our seniors Aliyah, Hailey, and Ella—just one more performance left with the Irondale Fall Dance Team! 💛

Week 8 goes to Maria!

The captains chose Maria because she’s been such a positive presence all year and truly deserves to be recognized. She consistently shows up with a great attitude, works hard in practice, and continues to improve every week. Her positivity helps lift up everyone around her.

Outside of dance, Maria’s favorite color is navy blue, and her favorite song is Chest Pain by Malcom Todd. Her favorite part of IDT is going to showcases and learning hip hop. When she’s not dancing, she enjoys making crafts, going on walks, and spending time outdoors.

We are so proud of the effort and positivity Maria brings to the team. Congratulations on being our Week 8 Dancer of the Week!

Join us this Saturday, October 4th, as the Irondale Dance Team takes the floor alongside the Stillwater Dance Team, our Kids Clinic dancers, the fun Guy/Girl routine, and a special Senior Celebration.

Week 7 goes to Samiya!

The captains have noticed how much she’s been standing out lately, especially with her strong facials during routines. She’s been bringing great energy and expression to practice, which helps bring the whole team to life. Her effort and commitment have really been shining through.

Outside of dance, Samiya’s favorite color is blue, and her favorite song is How by Ella Mai. Her favorite part of IDT is team bondings and hip hop, where she gets to connect with her teammates and enjoy her favorite style.

Week 6 goes to Jazzmyne!

The captains have really noticed the effort she’s been putting in at practice. She’s been more engaged, showing focus during sidelines, working hard on memorization, and pushing herself in hip hop. Her positivity and commitment have stood out, and it’s clear how much she has been improving and growing this season.

Outside of dance, Jazzmyne enjoys forensic science as her favorite subject in school. Her favorite color is maroon, and in the fall she loves going on haunted hayrides. Her favorite part of IDT is how hard the coaches push the team to be their best.

We are so proud to highlight Jazzmyne’s dedication this week. Congratulations on being our Week 6 Dancer of the Week!
