Maria has been training with me for 2 months for her first powerlifting meet (coming up in September). We are 7 weeks out and hadn't tested maxes yet, so figured this was a good week to try.

From day 1, deadlift form was 90% complete, so we could immediately work on building strength. But, pulling 155lbs today (more than bodyweight) is a MASSIVE accomplishment.

Not to mention, she is 66 years old and a three time cancer survivor! Crushing it!!! Strength at any age.

Way to go, Maria! Rachel and I are proud to be working with you and can't wait to see how meet day unfolds.

It's been almost a year since installing this bottle filler water fountain and I just changed the filter for the first time. At almost 4100 bottles saved, this will serve as a bit of recorded history for the next filter change.

As the gym grows in members, we should see quicker filter changes by bottle count, right?

250 years of America. One year of Eisbär.

This month, our windows celebrate 250 years of American independence and the people whose courage and sacrifice made it possible.

At the same time, Eisbär is celebrating its own milestone. One year since opening our doors as a new chapter in this community.

The scale isn't comparable, but the lesson is the same. Strong things are built over time through hard work, commitment, and the people who choose to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Thank you to every member who has trusted us with your training over this past year. We're proud of what we've built together, and we're just getting started.

Rachel went 7 for 9 on the day at Nationals and lifted exactly what she needed to qualify for World's this year.

She only started powerlifting two years ago, so this is huge!!!

It was a privilege to handle him at Age Divison Nationals 2026 last week. He took 2nd and received an invite to the North American Championships for .
