It’s baaaackkkk! 🎣

The 2026 New Braunfels Fly Fishers Holdover Tournament returns to the Guadalupe River on Saturday, November 7! If you’re planning to fish it, stop by Gruene Outfitters beforehand and let us get you outfitted with the flies, gear and essentials you’ll need for a day on the Guadalupe.

This is a catch, photo and release tournament that’s more about good fun than serious competition — with prizes for all participants!

Tournament Details:

• November 7, 2026
• $75 per person
• Guided boat: $200 per person
• 8:00 AM: Meet at Rio Guadalupe Resort
• 8:30 AM–3:30 PM: Fishing on the Guadalupe River
• 4:00 PM: Deadline to return to Rio Guadalupe Resort
• Prizes include half-day guided trips, fly fishing gear and gift certificates

All data on species caught, size and location will be submitted to Texas Parks and Wildlife to help track the ability of trout to survive in the Guadalupe River throughout the year.
