Good morning everyone! Here is a current schedule of the classes we are holding, with the locations, at both Landa Park & Gospel Life Church while we work to rebuild our beloved Dojang!

We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, support & willingness to adjust with us & we appreciate & are thankful for our students & their families SO much!

Hey everybody! I hope you’re all having a good weekend, I just want to keep everyone updated on what’s going on with the dojang. We currently have a fire inspector intended to come in on Tuesday. After that we will be directed on the next step we can take. In the meantime: the bad news is: we won’t be able to hold any classes in the building this week. However, the good news is we do have some alternative options for classes.

Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings at 10AM there is going to be class at Landa park followed by swimming at their little wade pool.

Classes are also available at our sister school The Texas Academy of Martial Arts in Buda Texas, which gives us the great opportunity to train with SBN Mearse. See their class schedule that’s attached.

In addition the instructors and I are currently in talks trying to figure out ways to continue our training, albeit in more creative ways. We’re working on talking to nearby community centers to see if we can train there, and working on a way to hold Zoom classes like we did during 2020. We should have that better finalized after Tuesday.

Thank you all for bearing with us, we’re working as hard as we can to get the dojang back up and running as soon as possible.

Hey everybody,

First I would like to say that no one is hurt. However there was an electrical fire at the karate school this morning. Between the sprinkler system and the firefirghters, the fire did not spread that far.

That being said, due to this unforseen circumstances, The Texas Academy of Karate is going to have to be closed and cancel classes for an undisclosed amount of time until insurance and the city can look at the damage and certify that all of the electric and water systems are good to continue classes.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding at this time. If I could please ask that people not arrive at the karate school for a little bit until we have been cleared to continue, that would be greatly appreciated. When we can head back in and help with clean up or continue classes there will be another post.

The official results from the TSDMGK Nationals that we attended over the weekend, several of our students names are mentioned!

Last weekend (July 17-19, 2026) the Mi Guk Kwan held the 32nd All Tang Soo Do National Championships. It was a weekend filled with amazing competition and fun fellowship!

We are 3 days out from the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Nationals in Katy Texas! Kyo Sa Nim Tesauro is still planning on running Saturday morning classes like usual ☺️ Here’s a reminder of the address & the schedule! Remember to pack your uniforms, weapons & sparring gear since we won’t be taking any extra with us. Don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the instructors if you have any questions!

Tang Soo! Here is our events calendar for July, 2026. We have a ton of exciting events including the Mi Guk Kwan Nationals on July 17th & 18th. We also have our 3rd Annual Kodanja Testing July 29th- August 1st. We hope to see y'all there!

Official pictures from the promotion ceremony held last night for the Spring 2026 Dan Testing! There are officially 5 new Cho Dan, 1st degree blackbelts, 1 new Sahm Dan, 3rd degree blackbelt & 3 new Kyo Sa, certified instructors! We’re so proud of you all & look forward to seeing the paths ahead of each of you!!
