We talk about this in class A LOT! The confidence you build on the dance floor at Das Rec - New Braunfels Recreation Center is something you can carry out into the world! Strut around H-E-B like you own it! 🩷🩷

Confidence can sometimes be misunderstood, especially in women. Being bold, sexy, expressive, or taking up space is too often mistaken for being “too much.”

That’s one of the reasons I love dance fitness.

For one hour, we get to let go. We get to be playful, dramatic, confident, fierce, and yes… maybe even throw in a few extra hair flips. 💁‍♀️

Not because we’re trying to impress anyone, but because movement gives us permission to express parts of ourselves that everyday life often asks us to tone down.

The best part? You’re surrounded by women who are cheering you on.🤍

Less shrinking.
More shining. ✨

Listen to Lizzie!! We’ve talked about this A LOT in class. Increase your weight if you’re ready, but you will get more benefit from the exercise if you execute it correctly with a lighter weight UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO GO UP!

It’s a privilege to show up for my crew every day!! 🩷🩷

Being a group fitness instructor means thinking about a hundred things at once 🤯

Mic.
Music.
Choreo.
Timing.
Form.
Energy.
The new person in the back.
The person who might need this class a little extra today.
The vibe of the room.
Did I cue that too early?
Wait… what’s the next move?
Smile. Breathe. Don’t forget to breathe.

Also…
Did I answer that text back?
What am I making for dinner?
Why did I say yes to subbing tomorrow morning?
What was the thing I was supposed to pick up on the way home?

And on top of all that, they might be carrying stress, overwhelm, hard seasons, or things nobody else in the room even knows about.

But the second they walk into that room, their focus shifts away from themselves. No matter what kind of day they’re having, they start pouring into everybody else’s cup… making sure people leave feeling happier, stronger, more uplifted, and a little less alone.

Group fitness instructors really are superheroes 🩷
