Milwaukee United Handball Club Welcome to the Facebook home of Milwaukee United Handball Club! The club has grown quickly since its inception and continues to grow each season.

Created in 2016, Milwaukee United Handball Club (MUHC) strives to expand the sport of team handball in the Milwaukee region. MUHC participates in tournaments throughout the nation each season, including the newly-formed Midwest Team Handball League and the USATH National Championships. We look forward to being the ambassador to handball in the State of Wisconsin!

Off-Season Training Is in Full Swing!

The season may be over, but the work never stops.

Our athletes are putting in the effort this summer with agility drills, reaction training, footwork, balance, coordination, and plenty of competition. These off-season sessions are all about building the athletic foundation that translates to success on the handball court.

Congratulations to Milwaukee United's Callie Krueger, Cassie Hoelzl, Luisa Manochio, and Salt Lake City Massif Team Handball Club's Kenna Payne, who played for Milwaukee United during the Nationals and our home tournament, on being selected for the Handball Futures Festival, July 22–25, 2026, in Colorado Springs!

This selection is a major milestone on their journey toward living the Olympic dream. Only 48 elite athletes from across the country were chosen from the Handball Futures Development & Skills Camps and the Olympic Athlete Pool to attend this event, which was inspired by the spirit of the U.S. Olympic Festival (1978–1995). The Handball Futures Festival is the premier development event for USA Women's Team Handball in the United States. Over five days, the nation's top female athletes will train, compete, and showcase their talents in front of National Team coaches, who will be on-site for scouting and talent identification.

A special thank you to our coaches Ahmed Saad and Percy L. Fonseca for their dedication to developing our athletes and helping create opportunities for them to compete, grow, and pursue their highest goals in the sport.

We are incredibly proud to see Milwaukee United represented on the national stage and excited for our athletes to take the next step in their development.

First Off-Season Practice in the Books!

The off-season is the perfect time to develop skills that often don't get enough attention during the competitive season. Tonight's session focused on footwork, coordination, reaction speed, decision-making, balance, confidence, and creativity under pressure.

Our athletes worked through a series of fun but challenging drills:
🔹 Rubik's Cube Relay – cognitive conditioning and teamwork
🔹 One-Legged Tug-of-War – balance, stability, and body control
🔹 Hunter & Prey – reaction speed and pursuit mechanics
🔹 Triple Ball Coordination – hand-eye coordination and multitasking
🔹 Quick Feet – defensive footwork and agility
🔹 Top Gun Penalty Drill – confidence and ex*****on under pressure
🔹 Wrong-Foot Jumping Drill – developing athleticism and movement versatility

We wrapped up practice with a scrimmage, giving players the opportunity to apply what they learned in a game-like environment.

A huge congratulations to MotorCity Handball’s Khalil Zbiss on becoming the top scorer of the 2026 Open Nationals, and to Los Angeles Team Handball Club's Mostafa Elwakel for capturing this year’s championship.

#88 Khalil has been a longtime friend and teammate on and off the court, sharing countless battles with us over the years. #74 Mostafa joined us this season at the Chicago tournament and made an immediate impact.

It truly couldn’t have happened to better teammates or better people. We’re proud of you both. 💙🤾‍♂️

Our women’s team closed out their first-ever National Championships with a win over Miami to finish 12th overall. From forming the team to competing on the national stage, this group has shown incredible grit, growth, and commitment every step of the way. This is just the beginning.

USA Team Handball National Championship: Day 1 Results

Men’s Open Division
Milwaukee United 31 – SSC Flanders 20
Milwaukee United 30 – Columbus Armada 23

Women’s Division
Milwaukee United 10 – SoCal 21
Milwaukee United 13 – Houston Firehawks 16

A strong opening day for our men with two wins, while our women battled hard in two tough matchups. With these wins, our men have now taken four games in a row at the National Championship. Proud of the effort across both squads. Back at it tomorrow.

We’re proud to announce that our goalkeeper Cassie Hoelzl has been named an alternate for the USA Women’s Beach Handball National Team for the 2026 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, taking place June 23–28 in Croatia!

This marks another milestone for our club, as she becomes the second Milwaukee United athlete to reach the World Championship level, following Cooper Black, who competed at the 2022 IHF Youth Men’s Beach Handball World Championships in Heraklion, Greece.

The draw is set for the 2026 USA Team Handball Open Nationals. Milwaukee United Men's Team will compete in Group B alongside Los Angeles Team Handball Club, Columbus Armada, and Swim and Sport Club. Milwaukee United Women's Team will compete in Group D alongside Houston Firehawks Team Handball, SoCal Handball Club and San Diego Team Handball Club

A total of 11 teams will battle in the Men's Open Division and 14 teams in the Women's Division as we head to Bettendorf, Iowa, next weekend. Looking forward to competing against some of the top clubs in the country and hope to see our friends from MotorCity Handball, Minnesota Team Handball, Dallas Team Handball Club, Boston Team Handball Club, MIAMI Storms THC, Chicago Inter Handball in the knockout rounds.
