Rebelo's Kenpo Karate has been in existence since 1982 in various incarnations, serving the Greater New Bedford Community through such agencies as the North End Youth Agency, the New Bedford Boys/Girls Club, YMCA, YWCA, the American Kenpo Karate Studio, and many other locations. Today I went to have a person look me up on Google. I saw my studio, Rebelo's Kenpo Karate as being listed as "Permanently Closed".
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE!
Rebelo's Kenpo Karate is still open for business and teaching on a daily basis private lessons. Available according to your schedule and tailored to your needs. Look up www.kenpojoe.com or www.rebeloskenpokarate.com to see what is offered there.
Again, The erroneous statement on Google regarding my studio is completely untrue!

Sadly,due to the Blizzard, I am stuck home with no heat or electricity.due to the travel ban,plows not in area and stranded condition, all classes are canceled until proper government notification.

An update for everyone! On October 25 at Demetrius Angelo 's Urban Action Showcase I had a T.I.A (TRANSIENT ISKEMIC ATTACK) A pre cursor to a stroke that looks and acts like a stroke. 4 days later i had a major stroke. It paralyzed my left side of my body,left me temporarily mute and later speech problems. A week and a half then 2 and a half weeks in rehab at Charlton memoiral hospital. From a wheel hair to a walker and now on a cane. My upper body and speech recovered but my left leg is still weak hence the need of a cane. I hace returned to teaching at Rebelo's Kenpo Karate. Sadly, several of my beginner students quit. My senior students knew I would recover and return. Recently I attended the Action Martial Arts Mega Weekend in atlantic City as announcer and master of ceremonies. It is a slow process but I am continuing to teach kenpo, kungfu,tai chi, okinawan weaponry, filipino stick fighting and jujutsu. I am offering private lesson instruction 7 days a week. I will not a stroke,a stent in my heart and diabetes stop me from doing what i love to do. See you in class!
