🏀 5th Annual Greater Southcoast Hoop Academy — Registration is Now Open

Where Basketball Is the Tool and Growth Is the Standard.

We’re officially live and beginning our 90-day countdown to this summer’s camp, taking place July 13–17 at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Last summer set the tone. The energy, development, and confidence we saw from our athletes is exactly what this program is about—and we’re building on that again this year.

We’re just one week away from tipping off the 2025Greater South Coast Hoop Academy Summer Basketball Camp—and the excitement is back in the area!
From July 7–11, student-athletes from across the region will gather at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School Walter Janiak Fieldhouse for a full week of skill development, competition, and growth. This isn’t just about basketball—it’s about building confidence, discipline, and connection through the game.
🏀 Grades 3–12 | Co-Ed Divisions
🔥 New Girls Division launching this year
🕗 Drop-off begins at 8:15 AM | Camp starts at 9:00 AM
🚗 Pick-up by 3:00 PM | Camp ends at 2:30 PM daily
🎯 Championship Friday & Awards on July 11 at 2:00 PM
Each day includes hands-on coaching from experienced leaders, theme-based learning, team building, and leadership development all in a high-energy environment built for young athletes who want to get better and meet new friends!

What an incredible week at the Greater Southcoast Hoop Academy 3rd Annual basketball camp!

From our passionate elementary students to our dedicated high schoolers, seeing the joy on their faces has been a blessing. I am immensely proud of how coachable our student-athletes are and deeply grateful to their caretakers for trusting us to help guide them.

A special thank you to our amazing coaches for their dedication and hard work this week. It’s been an honor to work alongside people I respect—from childhood friends who were in camps with me as players growing up, to professional colleagues, to those I have coached at the college and high school levels.

Special thanks to our guest speakers Dominique Williams Marques Houtman Paula Santos Young who graced us with their life journeys and spoke about the importance of education, dedication, and commitment to staying on the right paths.

We were honored to recognize two community members who have touched my heart but, more importantly, have impacted thousands of people within our community. Congratulations to our Buddy Wheatley Campers of the Week and the Yvonne Houtman Perseverance Award recipients.

With several successful camps already in the books, it’s essential that our kids continue to stay active and engaged. There more exciting opportunities ahead this summer! Burgos, LIT, and Bonzie Colson camps are fantastic ways for our young athletes to learn from well-established community members who are committed to student-athlete development and community support. Remember it takes a village!!!
