Our boys had the honor of meeting the youngest public address announcer for the MLB. Zach Linfield serves as the public address announcer for the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

He has an incredibly important side gig as the Hitz Lewis personal announcer for our team walk ups. Born in 2001, it makes him part of the first generation of fans who grew up watching the Tigers play exclusively at Comerica Park.

We love Zach and his work! Our boys were thrilled to have an opportunity to meet our own local MLB legend!

Meet your 2026-2027 Hitz 12U Lewis roster!

Before we officially introduce this group, we got them together for a team bonding pool party and it couldn’t have gone any better. You know it’s a great time when not a single photo was taken. New teammates became instant friends, there were plenty of laughs, and of course Coach Dave had them putting in work in the batting cage before the evening was over. ⚾

We’re excited to officially welcome Jon Duke and Ryan Chapp to the coaching staff alongside Dave Lewis and Mike Andrzejewski.

This season is about development, a Cooperstown experience they’ll never forget and creating a team that loves the game. We can’t wait to get these boys to work!

This weekend, our boys get to close out an incredible season playing at Corner Ballpark, the historic home of the original Detroit Tigers.

A huge thank you to Matt Rodeghier and James Sheldon for sponsoring our team and making sure our boys get the opportunity to create memories they’ll carry with them long after the final out.

Yesterday’s pregame itinerary:
✅ Inspirational speech from one of our baseball dads.
✅ Questionable life choices.
✅ Full-immersion ice bath “baptisms” on the warning track.

Did it make them better baseball players? Science can’t confirm it…

Did they immediately go out and battle some of the best AA teams in the state with confidence, toughness, and absolutely zero fear? We’d like to think the baseball gods noticed.

This team is something special. They work hard, they laugh harder, and they’ll do just about anything for each other (including voluntarily letting Coach Mike dunk their heads in freezing water).

Core memories were definitely unlocked yesterday.

The boys are back on the diamond this weekend for the Perfect Game Eastside Summer Showdown at Lombardo Park in Shelby Township, and they’re ready to get back to work.

Every pitch. Every at-bat. Every inning. We continue to build toward our ultimate goal.

The boys came ready to compete yesterday at the Perfect Game Michigan AA/AAA State Tournament, picking up two big wins to start the weekend.

✔️ 8-5 win over Riverside Royals AAA
✔️ 10-5 win over Warriors Baseball Club Edgell

This group continues to show exactly who they are - gritty, resilient, coachable, and willing to battle for one another. Every player contributed, every player competed, and the energy in the dugout was outstanding all day long.

Now it’s time to get back to work.
