Today we did something a little different at KD Fitness. 💪🏽♥️

We focused on upper body strength, and it was incredible to watch. So many clients looked at the weights in front of them and immediately thought, “There’s no way I can do that.” But they did—and they crushed it.

Next, we shifted our focus to lower body muscular endurance. Once again, there was some doubt, but everyone pushed through and experienced a whole new level of muscle fatigue and mental toughness.

And of course, we finished by challenging both the mind and body with a 4-minute plank and some good old-school ab work. 🔥

Today was filled with moments where people proved to themselves they’re capable of more than they thought. Those are the victories that mean the most.

So many wins today, and I couldn’t be more proud of every single person who showed up, put in the work, and refused to quit. ♥️💪🏽

There are days I walk into this gym and can’t believe it’s real.

Not because it’s the biggest gym.
Not because it’s the fanciest gym.
But because years ago, I was just someone with a dream, working multiple jobs, trying to figure out how I was going to make it all work.

KD Fitness started with a simple goal: help people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in themselves.

What I didn’t realize was how much my clients would end up helping me too.

This gym has become so much more than a place to work out. It’s become a community. A place where people celebrate victories, support each other through hard seasons, and show up even when life gets messy.

I’ve watched women lift weights they never thought they could. I’ve seen people regain confidence after years of feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. I’ve celebrated weight loss, strength gains, improved health, and countless victories that have nothing to do with a number on the scale.

What many people don’t see is how much I carry your journeys with me.

When you’re hurting, I wish I could fix it. When you’re dealing with an injury, chronic pain, a diagnosis, stress, or something difficult outside these gym walls, I wish I had a magic wand that could make it all better. There are days I go home thinking about my clients, wondering if they’re okay, hoping they’re feeling better, and wishing there was more I could do.

As trainers, we can’t solve every problem. We can’t heal every injury. We can’t take away every struggle. But what we can do is show up, listen, support, modify, encourage, and keep moving forward together.

That’s what I try to do every single day.

As a trainer, I put my whole heart into this place. I think about my clients when I’m creating workouts, planning schedules, buying equipment, and figuring out how to make every session better than the last.

Some days I feel like I’ve nailed it.
Some days I wonder what I could have done better.

But one thing never changes: how grateful I am.

Grateful for every early morning.
Grateful for every laugh.
Grateful for every challenge.
Grateful for every person who trusts me with their health, fitness, and a small piece of their life.

KD Fitness will never just be a gym to me.

It’s a community. It’s a purpose. It’s a dream I get to live every single day because of all of you.

And for that, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Was a super fun Friday morning at KD Fitness!

Take we focused on upper body strength large muscle groups (back, chest and shoulders)

Lower body strength with smith squats, cable hip hinges and stationary splits squat band rotations

Core which included deep core control with weighted dead bugs, bear holds tucking the core in and up/down planks focusing on not rocking side to side

And everyone’s least favorite the metabolic fun including all out on the ski trainer paired with med ball slams!

I am always striving to bring the best programming I can and I have to say today was a one stop shop! Way to go fam! ❤️💪🏽

Rue and this beagle are the SAME height and weight… yet look completely different 👏🏼

Why? BODY COMPOSITION.

One has more lean muscle mass while the other carries more body fat. The scale only shows total weight — not how much of that weight is muscle vs fat.

This is why the number on the scale can be misleading. Two bodies can weigh exactly the same but look, move, and feel completely different.

Focus less on just “losing weight” and more on building muscle, strength, and improving body composition 💪🏼🐾
