$1.4 million Trail Project, funded, engineered, surveyed, environmental work complete, and ready to be built.
I sure wish we had an institution in Nevada County that was authentically representing our interests.

COMMUNITY TRAILS include passion, art and creativity. But to manifest opportunity and the collaboration needed between 15 different land managers locally, we need an organized approach to achieve the desired connectivity.
Scotts Flat Trail was not an agency initiative, it was developed by trail lovers over years of relationship building and planning. Laid out and designed by volunteers trained and capable. Crafted with volunteer crew, tools and equipment from our licensed and insured trail builders organization, Forest Trails Alliance.
There is more opportunity ahead with 13 miles of new trail approved and shovel ready. 4 mile handicap trail, 170’ suspension bridge, 30 stone arched bridges and more.
Help develop our community trail system and a legacy of great civic experience. PM us for more information and details.

COMMUNITY LEGACY TRAILS are at our fingertips. A village rich with the desire and capacity to create a world class trail system. Citizen volunteers, skills, equipment, insurances and licensing, a rich stew of potential.
But do we have the advocacy and transparency to clear the muddy waters that stop our lovely intensions to be welcomed and appreciated? 30 of these beautiful stone arched bridges are approved and ready to be built at Scott’s after years of careful planning and investment. A 4 mile handicap trail, 7 mile trail around the lake featuring another suspension bridge and another climbing trail to the ridge above all wait support and resolution so our non profit can complete our work.
Please support Yuba Trails Stewardship and our need for a safe container for our trail vision, regional maintenance and healthy transparency. 🙏❤️. Pm me to get involved

Largest trail project in Western Nevada county, featuring another suspension bridge, 12miles of new trail, critical connecting trails and a rare ADA 3 mile trail still is pending support from our community to resolve the politics that have delayed this $1.2mil funded community project created by our local trail org forest trails alliance.

If you care about having amazing trails and pedestrian networks, we need to be more involved and support guiding civic institutions like SYRCL that can help coordinate all the non collaborative public agencies and community interest groups.
FTA currently has $3 million in shovel ready projects on hold till a more accountable and productive environment can be established for our trails vision.
Please PM me if you are willing to serve on our stewardship board and guide our interests forward into the future.
Cheers

TRIBUTE TRAIL SUSPENSION BRIDGE TRAIL This is one of my favorite places to share with people. It is a manifestation of my ultimate dream of local artists and craftsmen contributing to our desire for beautiful outdoor experiences.

This gives you a rare view into the making of the river art integrated into the stone walls. Ferrocement, love and creativity. You can also see our gravity chutes delivering stone and materials. We built three of these to eliminate impacts to the adjacent vegetation.

I feel inspired to bring all of our silo'd organizations and amazing business community around this vision in a way that fear of change and ego does not stop, for example, our offers to fund and develop the sugar loaf trail which still lays fallow four years later.

I would love to see simple dirt paths within public road easements that acknowledge the need to be mobile, active and safe without being hit by cars.

But most of all, I would love understand how to engage people who have these community building skills to trust this vision and help us bring people together. Peace out and reach out

HELP!

8 days left to save over $500,000 of public funding for the largest trail project ever in western nevada county.

Why was the managing NID recreation director forced out, why was NC Councilman Strauser using public office to take over this grant under the radar for a new race venue.

Why did the trail get changed without permission, stakeholder input or permits.

Why oh why can’t we have good things.

YOUR MISSION: Rescue our community trail project from double dealing politics.
* Call your NID Board Reps.
*Request NC Mayor Senum investigate their councilman’s actions
*Get involved in our local bike club and offer compassionate leadership
*Encourage the BYLT to be supportive of our community trail projects
*Encourage the Union and Yubanet to cover stories that involve their advertisers

Zachi has done all he can. He is out of town developing a 40 m trail on the coast. It’s up to us!!
