First time I’ve taken the out since I put on the new axles... The crawl went ‘good’ until I got stuck. :( I have never had trouble like this, it looks like the spur gear is too lose but why? I haven’t touched the transmission or spur gear yet... I checked the axles before connecting the shafts and they seems to spin just fine. Thoughts?

The last shots of the rebuilt with the new axles, a rebuilt triple 4 (highly recommend), lockouts/c hubs/knuckles, shocks, and a WP1080 at the core!!! Sure, it’s a bit of a “hodgepodge or parts” but I stretched the budget and made it work. :) @ Rocklin, California

Ok, definitely a labor of love. Had to do a fair amount of grinding and some small mods to get the c hubs (from my gen1 SCX10) to fit on the axle housing. I know you shouldn’t have to do that but everything fits good now. Next is a run video! @ Rocklin, California

Not easy to find these days but found a few of these steel axle housings to replace the stock axles on the rebuild I’m doing. As soon I get them, I’ll post pics. :). The rig has come a LONG way with many parts from my old . More to come.

Been a quiet month for me in the world of RC. Replaced the stock plastic wishbone uppers on my with a 4 link setup. Wasn’t sure whether it would limit articulation, the good news, it’s exactly the same. Also added 12mm wheel extenders. Running on 2.2’s, I’m no where near scale but man does it have an awesome stance. 🙂 @ Rocklin, California

Finished the rebuild on a Triple 4. I messed up the “seals” so I just heat shrink’ed the entire assemble. Also added my C hubs, knuckles, and lockouts. Nothing like looking through your parts bin to update one of your new trucks.

If you’ve been in the hobby long enough you know what a pain it is to plug your battery into a balance board or charger with a shortie. Making my BFF extended 2s charging cables. Honestly, I think I enjoy working on more than I enjoy driving them.
