Message from Mayor Justin D. Seely

With the start of baseball and softball season, I want to take a moment to clarify the City’s priorities regarding the use of our ballfield complexes.

Our fields are a valuable, taxpayer-funded community asset. Their primary purpose is to support our all-inclusive City recreation programs and City-sponsored events. These programs provide essential opportunities for our youth and residents to participate, learn, and grow, and they will always take precedence in scheduling and use.

We are proud of the many outstanding travel ball teams in our community and appreciate the role they play in representing our city. We value and support these teams; however, their use of City-owned fields will remain secondary to our recreation leagues and City events.

Once recreation leagues are finalized and all practices and games are scheduled, a schedule of available field times will be released for additional use. We anticipate this schedule being available by April 15.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure our facilities serve the entire community in a fair and responsible manner.
